Exactly, there are some exceptions that don´t respect the consonant harmony, these words (most of them, and not all of them) are derived from other languages, such English, French ...( but not Arabic)

Ex:

kamyonet => kamyoneti (it´s still ´t´ and it´s not kamyonedi, it´s origin is from french : camionette = small truck )

By reading, discovering the Turkish language, you can find most of those used words.

I´m translating sometimes word by word, maybe a professional may correct that, we´re still beginners.

I keep laughing everytime I see a word "imported" from Arabic, "þart" in Arabic means "in condition that" !!

and most of all, the sign = in turkish is "eþit", that word ain´t in Arabic, but It´s in our freakin´ Moroccan "Accent" (which is our familiar arabic language), which means "what´s left is :". although I know that Ottomans have never get to Morocco. that must be weird !!

For just adding some examples : (I´m not quite sure of the meanings but I´m sure that the conjugation is correct).(FR: le subjonctif est plus explicable en français qu´en anglais). Ýzmir´e gittiysem = If I went/had been to Ýzmir.(In a specific moment of the past)

[this mode doesn´t accept obligation(-meli), conditional (-se), conjunctive (-e) or "subjonctif"]

( this mode is used for making indirect speech)

Ýzmir´e gidiyorduysam = If I was going to Ýzmir.(at that time)

Ýzmir´e gidecektiysen = (that seems a bit confusing, but : I´m bringing someone´s speech, I´m talking about events in a moment (Ex: 10/02/1978) then in the speech I´m reporting, it was there a sentence; that you (-n) would go to Ýzmir on 21/02/1978) OR : you can just let it go, ´cause no one (not Turkish of course) would use this tense anyway, or even more, the whole mode.

Ýzmir´e gitmiþdiysem = "If I had gone to Ýzmir, As they said.", Ayþe said. (someone is reporting Ayþe´s speech).

Ýzmir´e gittiydiysem = "If I had gone to Ýzmir.", Ayþe said. (someone is reporting Ayþe´s speech).

>> There are two other modes (Inferencial simple & Conditional Inferencial), the same use of the conditional except replacing respectively "-se & -diyse" by "-miþ & miþse",those are made often for narration, and people don´t often need using them in casual talking. (FR: c´est comme on dit : on dit que/comme ils disent...). I´ll give you some examples (not sure of the meanings), they are parts of a whole sentence (I meant there is something else to tell after them):

Ýzmir´e gidiyormuþum = They say that I´m going to Ýzmir.(right now)

Ýzmir´e gitmiþmiþsem = If, as they say, I´ve / I´d been to Ýzmir.

Why are they using that -lim  suffixe??? (or -le + -im) , the -im get stuck to the noun according to vowel harmony, if there is a vowel at the end we add just -m. Besides, it´s the first suffixe that sticks to the word, as much as the negative suffixe -me in constructing a verb. I love turkish because it´s so like math, just follow the rules, and you get the correct result/sentence.

if you´re french, or learnt french by any chance. the -erek/-arak suffixe is used for a thing called "gerunds", and it´s form is : En + participe présent. which is equivalent to : while doing something

Kuruþarak = En parlant = while speaking

gelerek = En venant = while coming

the suffixe -dir in both 3rd singular and plural person can be used in a dictionary, encyclopedia... things like that.

As we´re not one of these, we don´t give a fig about it
