"Ders çalışmak" is more like "to practice, learn"

I would suggest "Ne okuyorsun?" and "Nerede okuyorsun?"

That´s right. It is (Allah kabul etsin) said to one who´s worshipping Allah...hajj, umrah, fasting, prayers, sadaqa, good deeds, ...

Yes that´s right. One little addition for clarifification:

"Allah kabul etsin" is not used in the context "God may accept someone in this heaven" but "God may accept your/someones worship"

Parayı daha sonra vereceğim.

"the money" is in accusative case here therefore it becomes "para-y-ı"

The verb "olmak" has various meanings such as "to be", "to become", "to happen":

http://www.tureng.com/search/olmak

For example:

Hasta oldum -> I became sick

or

Bir kaza oldu -> An accident happened

HI everyone.  I´ve been studying Turkish off and on for about a year and would say I´m a mid to high beginner. I´m planning on going to Turkey this summer to study Turkish at the Tomer schools associated with the University of Ankara.  I´m going to go from the beginning of June until the beginning of July (4 weeks).  I´m either going to go to Izmir or Antalya.  I have two questions.

First, do any of you know about this language program in general or the classes at these two specific locations?  I´ve heard that this is the best program for learning Turkish while in Turkey, but I´d love to know what you all think.

Second, which of these two places would you recommend?  I´m having a hard time chosing.  I don´t mind some heat, though I think it´s going to be pretty darn hot in either place.  In general I´m not into night life so much and like working out, playing tennis (only a rich man´s sport in Turkey, I know!), cooking, reading.  If you have any insights, I´d love to hear them.

Thanks for the help.

Kevin

Hi Kevin,

I do not know much about the facilities in Antalya but in Izmir you can find public tennis courts in the district of Bostanli. I do not remember the current conditions since I am not living there anymore but they should be either free of charge or may require a small fee for using.

For working out you might need to enroll to a gym. Check this out for Izmir:

Especially in the mid-summer it is pretty more hotter in Antalya compared to Izmir. But on the other hand in Izmir you can not find a place to go swimming in the city center. You need about 1 hour to travel to a resort at the seaside. As far as I remember -it´s been years since I have been there- it is easier in Antalya.
