Quoting caliptrix:

"can" is in Turkish "-abilmek/-ebilmek"

can I go? or may I go?= gidebilir miyim?

can I fly? uçabilir miyim?

can I run? koşabilir miyim?

I can eat: yiyebilirim.

you can speak: konuşabilirsin.

he can ask: sorabilir

they can come: gelebilirler

ahh rightt!! i had a complete different idea!!
thank you

after taking a long break from learning turkçe 'cos of my exams i thought i should get back into it!

I was going across words i already knew when i came across 'alabilirmiyim' which means 'can i have' ??

but is there any more examples of using 'can i' in turkçe
examplee: 'can i see' or 'can i use' what would they be? would they still be using the word 'bilir'

tşk'ler
