Hi all,
Here is a nice message that can be sent to your askim for this special day, also a very good website I found where you can send some lovely Turkish language cards

Happy Valentine's day!

eğer orada be hayır sözcükler. Hayır yol e benek

ben sözde durgun ışıtmek sen. eğer orada be hayır gözyaşı

Hayır yol e hıssetmek iç taraf. Ben be sözde hıssetmek için sen

ve düz eğer be güneş reddetmek e parlaklık

düz eğer romantik koşmak dış in ritim

Sen cekti be var yüreğim

e kadar be son in zaman. senin bütün ben öteki

Askım. gönderilen kartım

bütün in hayatım ben var be bekliyor için sen

TRANSLATION

I would still hear you, If there were no tears

No way to feel inside,i,d still feel for you

And even if the sun refused to shine

Even if romance ran out of rhyme

You wold still have my heart

Until the end of time ,your all i need

My love , my valentine.

All of my life i have been waiting for you

and all you,ve given me

You,ve opened up my eyes and

showed me how to love unselfishly

I,ve dreamed of this a thousand times before

And in my dreams i could not love you more

I would give you my heart until the end of time

your all i need my love ,my valentine

Hello all,
I recently got married to Nesrin and we both now are apart from each other for a few months at least, we have both looked into the possiblity of myself going to Turkey for a period of two years.

I am unsure where to start my arrangements firstly I must tell my employer and notify all relevant departments about my intention to move to Turkey which I have made a list this includes Inland Revenue, Doctors, Dentist, DHSS and other departments here in the U.K.

I would like to work in Turkey but for the first few months I think I will not be working but still looking for employment and settling in, could someone tell me about the work permit, if I do not have a job when I arrive in Turkey how can I obtain a work permit, do they require me to already have a job to go to when I arrive in Turkey? I am looking for some help and advice from any Brit who has moved to Turkey in recent times and has been through the process, would be very grateful for any advice and information
Thanks Loveprague

An update on my fiancee's sister and nephews visa applications is that they have somehow mixed the visa photos up they have put the male on the female and vice versa as Nesrin would say they are 'salik'

Hello everyone,
I am very unhappy that my fiancée’s sister and nephew have not heard about their visa to visit the U.K. to witness our wedding, we have waited now nearly three weeks. They both filled in an online application with my help because all of the application form has to be in the English language.

We are able to track the application online and after nearly three weeks the 'status' is awaiting at mission, which basically means they have not done a thing about it. This is totally unacceptable and I am going to make a complaint, they only have one day left to be accepted or otherwise they cannot come to our wedding. I understood that they have to make a decision and either warrant a refusal or grant the visitor's visa's. They have done neither and I am sure this is going to go further. I will go straight to my M.P. but furthermore I will go higher than just my local M.P. I think that the television should be informed of this practice as we have all tried to contact the consulate by person, several phone calls and countless e-mails all to no avail they simply to not reply.

This process really is so hard going, we as the U.K. let in so many illegal immigrants and then we complain about it later when the influx has totally got out of control. I want my M.P. to explain to my fiancée’s sister and nephew why they had to miss their relatives wedding, I am so angry that this will go as far as I can take it.

Rich, I am so sorry for the two of you. Like some others have said, they sound like the US. As you know, Yilmaz and I had to file a waiver and they told us not to call or e-mail, they would get in touch with us when they had the answer. Well that could be as long as 12 months or more!! So, I do know your frustration. But surely they can see that Nesrin's family would be coming for a special occasion and would then return!!! Hopefully your M.P. will be of help!! I will keep you both in my prayers.

Worse case scenario, you would just have to do it all over again in Turkey.

By the way, what is the date of your wedding?

Good Luck and Best wishes for a speedy outcome in the positive!!!

Thanks for your reply, yes yourself and Yilmaz have had many things to encounter also in your lives to be together, yes we could get married again in Turkey that sounds a lovely idea. The wedding is on the 1st February and you would be very welcome to come I know you possibly cannot but I invite you anyway

The whole issue is quite annoying.

Couple of years ago I came across some guys who worked on these websites:
writetothem.com (might be useful)
theyworkforyou.com

Thankyou for your help
