           Thanks for your reply, I had already thought about exactly this as I know the more expensive course is way out of my reach even if I was working now I cannot justify paying nearly £1,000 pounds on a course without any guarantees of success.

I taught two students before with the help of my English teacher which was very confidence building and I enjoyed it but sadly it did not last as you can only teach so far.

             I hope we are all well? my circumstances I thought were going to change but I am now in a catch 22 situation, I was going to teach English and complete a CELTA course in Turkey which would have gave me a very good chance to get some sort of employment if I was successful and completed the course with the certificate.

The problem lies with the price of the course which is £950.00 English pounds, this sort of money I simply have not got as I am living off my savings while I am in Turkey, I came to the U.K. to ask for help of any kind which was to ask for a loan which I would pay back but as Turkey are not in the E.U. there is not any help whatsoever to help my cause.  I would complete the course but cannot afford to fund it in the first place so I am back to Plan B.

I will now do anything to support my wife in Turkey with a baby on the way it is so important, we have talked just about every scenario, I even looked at jobs in the U.K. but I will not miss the most important time of anyones life seeing a baby born.  I just wanted to ask some advice, I have tried American hotels, consulate, American hospitals, Ataturk airport and just about looked at everything else that would possibly require a good English speaker.

The teaching is there just not the fee for the course has to be paid in full no options to pay monthly or anything.  So I am asking anyone for their advice, anything that would pay even a small amount I would consider just while I am living in Turkey

Hello all,

             I hope we are all well here on T.C. it feels like an age since I wrote here last sorry about that.

I am thinking about a course in English to gain a qualification to be able to teach here in Istanbul the course is a Cambridge course after much reasearch into this I was told this would be probably the best course to undertake.  I have so far been unsuccessful in finding work although a number of people here have been very helpful.  For those people who were kind enough to ask for my C.V. sorry somehow it got deleted off the computer and the complete information is back in the U.K. where I will go home to next month for a visit.

Some good news my dear wife Nesrin is Pregnant and nearly five months gone, we did not tell everyone as there were a number of tests to perform including a chromosone test all which are so far fine thankfully.  We are certain and the doctors it will be a girl and we have already a name but sorry everyone you will have to wait for a few months yet until I tell you .  When I first discovered she was pregnant it was the best news I have ever received in my life and we are now wondering will she look Turkish or English or perhaps have a little bit of German in her from my mum, so all in all three possibilities.

        I need some help please from the Turkish lady members on T.C. as christmas is coming I wanted to buy my wife a nice pair of boots for the winter, we both saw a great pair and a pair she really liked in a shop called Greyder in Taksim Istanbul, but they were not available in her size, I have not got a picture but have a description of the boots.

The boots were similar to a pair of boxing boots although they came just up to half way up the calf, the boots were black and laced at the front but had a nice flat heel and were very comfortable to wear, my wife tried on a similar pair in her size but they were brown in colour.  I would really like to get a pair for her as a surprise would you help me please
