Dear Words,

Today I am finally starting to learn French, the poetic expression of gentlemanliness and politeness. Now is a good time to start my first lesson, Les Salutations, as an introduction.

salut - Hello , Hi
bienvenue - Welcome
bonjour - Good day
bonsoir - Good evening
bonne nuit - Good night

au revoir - Good-bye, bye
à bientôt - See you soon
à toute à l'heure - See you later

s'il vous plaît, s'il te plaît - Please
merci - Thank you
de rien - You're welcome
excusez-moi, pardonnez-moi excuse-moi, pardonne-moi - Excuse me
félicitations - Congratulations
bonne chance - Good luck

Monsieur - Sir
Madame - Madam
Mademoiselle - Miss

Yours,
Cyrano

Nice...

Bonne chance a vous, Monsieur de Bergerac, dans vos efforts d'apprendre encore une autre langue. This from someone who can't keep her foreign language wires from getting crossed, and who can't seem to carry on a conversation in French anymore without absent-mindedly slipping evets, tammams, çok güzels, and mıs into it, to the bewilderment of all...

Anyways, j'espère que vous allez continué ce journal (I'm pretty sure that was gramatically correct).

Bu günlüğünüz devam etmesiniz umarım (this one took me much longer and I'm less certain of it- should it be etmesinizi?)

I hope you continue this journal (this one, at least, is perfect).

Si je peux aider, vous n'avez que demander.

Actually, its "j'espere que vous allez continuer ce journal(i studied french for 11 years if that matters..)

"8. Do not post vulgar, hateful, threatening, derogatory, racist or obscene comments on this site. Any such content will be deleted. The user account of the author of such messages may also be deleted if it repeats."
And i think we got all bored of your language, even if we appreciate your help with translations!

Hello Yusuf!
The topic you chose to talk about is interesting but i have only one question for you:have you ever been to Turkiye? It is a beautiful country with very kind people, rich history and culture... My advice for you would be to go and see everything, people, places And then talk about those when you come back

Maria

Glad to hear that turkish men think their own turkish women are also beautiful!

After a while all I have heard so much about how beautiful russian, bulgarian and romanian women are from turkish men and wondered what was wrong with the turkish women???

Could it be that MOST of you prefer the blonde, blue-eye types? Men please!!!!! There are beautiful women in every nationality!

From asians to black women to also latinas like myself, beauty is not just how a woman looks or dresses, but of who they are inside!

Wow, im so pleased to hear that turkish men find romanian girls beautiful And NOT ALL romanian girls are blonde with blue eyes!!Im romanian,my hair is light brown and my eyes are brown! But men have to know that all women, no matter religion, country, beliefs are beautiful in their own way I totally agree with you Mina_TR, beauty comes from inside!

As I read these posts, I don't think for some of you dating is an option. Due to your boyfriends living abroad. Long distant relationships can be very difficult as I have experienced. We all have that fairy tale we dream about, meeting that special someone. Sometimes there's a happy ending and sometimes there's not. Just some personal thoughts of mine from experience to think about. I use to think that my heart doesn't deceive you, but in fact your heart does. I think that's where the problem lyes, that women think to much with their heart and not enough with their brain. I'm not saying you shouldn't feel or be emotionless, but most of us women know when something doesn't sit right and there are red flags. But then our heart tells us different and we ignore these signs. First be smart about it, use your head, then follow your heart. If it's meant to be in your plan, it will happen. Believe me, I am too a hopeless romantic I will admit. But using my brain has led me to more successful relationships in my life. You just never know what God has planned for you. I wish and pray your fairy tales come true. I always love a happy ending.

Well said Teaschip!!
