You are absolutely right, alameda.  Muslims have been accused of doing horrible things....many people have.....my point is, we need to stop.  I am not saying we should stop posting articles about hate crimes, I am simply saying that we need to stop perpetuating the behavior that ensures the continuance of hate crimes.  When things are posted in such a way as to remove the objectiveness of a story then it compels other people to find an equally horrifying article supporting their view....and so on and so on....tempers flare and nothing constructive comes out of it.  When we do this, we are engaging in the same behaviors as the perpetrators of hate crime.  I think we can do better.  We should begin to discuss these issues as an offense to humanity.  The aim of terrorist and perpetrators of hate crimes is not just to kill people but to create more hate.  Let´s try not to help them with that.

We actually have laws here in the US that say you can´t smoke within 50 feet of a public entrance.  So many places have a designated area on the side of a building where smoking is allowed.  Believe me, if you have asthma, walking thru a cloud of smoke before getting into a building can be a bit of a challenge, so I really appreciate these laws.  However, I do think that smokers should have a place where they can smoke freely without worrying about getting in trouble or putting someone into a full blown asthma attack.

But when posting a news about hate crimes aginist muslims would that be using the site as a tool to prove" how they are being treated badly but when posting hate crimes muslims did that would be showing the real face of Ýslam ?!

I´m sorry but I don´t believe in burquas, headscarves...Why should a woman be ashamed to hide her hair or body as someone said it was to prevent the stares of men.  If that´s the case, why don´t you shave your head bald and wear shirts that aren´t revealing.  I really don´t get it why Allah ordered this!  Did he specifically state what men should cover up or not reveal?

Alameda - I´ve been Catholic for quite a few years and I was actively involved in Church but I´ve never heard anything about "out on Sunday", maybe it´s a regional saying that does not apply to Church´s policy. Selling pardons was abolished in 16th century and that´s it.

 If you could please provide a link that shows " you are out of Purgatory by Saturday"  Do you know what Purgatory is?   This doesn´t make sense unless you are dead.  Please don´t assume that I´m only familiar or educated with the Second Vatican Counsel.  I come from a long line of Catholic ancestors and have never heard of this.  If you could provide something for me to refer to....then educate me.

 Not sure what religion you are speaking of.  The only medallion I ever saw somebody receive based on recovery was at an AA meeting.  What religion or church are you speaking of?  I don´t understand "you are out on Saturday".

Alameda - did you mean indulgence? That is paying for your sins to be cancelled? If so, then it stopped at The Reformation, so after 16th century there was no longer a chance to buy yourself out of the flames of hell . For Christians (well, Catholics) to have your sin forgiven you must trully repent, confess your sin to a priest and fulful the penalty (usually saying a few prayers). Without meeting even one of these conditions (ie if you do not trully repent) your confession is not valid.
