güzel= beautiful

ben güzelim= im beautiful
sen güzelsin= youre beautiful (singular)
o güzel= she/he/it is beautiful
biz güzeliz= were beautiful
siz güzelsiniz= youre beautiful (plural)
onlar güzel/ güzeller= theyre beautiful

take note of the suffixes after the word güzel
these are always used in this way, the letters though, do change according to vowel harmony- you can find a lesson for this on the site.

back to the topic...

i have heard that it is no longer compulsory to do the military in turkey.
i think that some people didnt do it and they were not searched for afterwards, yani, they were just let off. im guessing this means anyone can get away with it...?

I am an english speaking man & marrying a turkish woman. I have proposed to her & she said 'Yes', but I must meet her parents & formally ask them. What is the best, easiest, way to say, 'I would like to Marry your Daughter?' Kizinisla Evlenmek Istiyorum? Please help.

yes, kızınızla evlenmek istiyorum is correct.

although if i was in your position i would (very politely) explain the situation and also how you will be a good husband for their daughter and how you will be able to look after her and supply her with everything she needs.

My mother has a red book international marriage certificate with my father. Is this all she will need to gain the right to live in Turkey when we move there (İNŞALLAH) this year?
Or does she need a kimlik or Turkish passport?

Thanks in advance and sorry that i havent been online here for a while.. A lot of you know the situation here and we are now fixing up the house ready to sell so we can move to ... guess where??
