Ok!  Mine wasn´t TOO bad then.

I used ´olsa´ because in English ´was´ in that sense doesn´t mean past tense - she is talking about ´now´.  Same with present tense for anlatmak - but you used açýklamak - is that a better word for ´explain´ in this context?

I found the Turkish word for ´inadequate´ and used that instead of ´bad=kötü´ - does that make sense in Turkish.

Mazur görmek - new word for today, thanks!

For wishes in past tense, like "I wish it had been" --> only "olsaydý" past tense is used, but for wishes like "I wish it were" --> olsa and olsaydý, both of them are used, I don´t know why.

And "olsa" is more acceptable in talking, but in written and more formal turkish "olsaydý" sounds better.

I said "açýklamak" because I thought explain is açýklamak and tell is anlatmak.

Kifayetsiz is same as "yetersiz". Kýfayetsiz is an old word and poetic. It brings to mind the  famous lines "Bilmezdim þarkýlarýn bu kadar güzel, Kelimelerin kifayetsiz olduðunu, Bu derde düþmeden önce.". Prefer to use "yetersiz". "yetersiz türkçe"

And we can use "affetmek" as well since it is to forgive. "kötü türkçemi lütfen affet", but "mazur gör" sounds much much better and formal. "Affet" sounds like you´re begging.

Nice really, once I had listened to her, but later totallt forgot about her.

Somehow she reminded me of Katie Melua.  http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=5DCacIEbAlM

I wish my Turkish was better so I could explain better. Please forgive my bad Turkish.

Keþke türkçem daha iyi olsaydý, böylece daha iyi açýklayabilirdim. Lütfen kötü türkçemi mazur gör.
