Quoting sonunda

or ´don´t exaggerate (your) age´       from the negative imperative of ´büyütmek´

if it were "don´t exaggerate your age", it would be "yaþýný büyütme"

"þey" means "thing", but when you hear it at the start of a phrase as you said it´s something said when you do not know what to say or how to say something, like "well" in english.

And also "þey" is replaced to anything when the right word does not come to your mind, forexample, "pazardan þey aldým.Mango", "I bought x from the bazaar, mango", another example a dialog that goes like

-"Filmi nasýl buldun?" (how did you find the movie?",

-"Çok þey buldum filmi, öööö, abartýlý"

If you want to express that you do not expect anything back, you can say afterwards your favor, "içimden geldi" forexample you give someone a present when it´s not a special day, you say "içimden geldi, aldým"

and the translation of "I do not expect anything in return" is "karþýlýk beklemiyorum"

Quoting catwoman

(I do hope that Meltem will make lots of money in the future).

Thanks for your wish catwoman  I have always had the feeling that I will be rich in the future, but around when I do not have any clue. For the moment no sign.

In France, it´s not very different I guess. People use bank cards, credit cards, cash and cheques as well. Nearly everyone has a card, but it´s not easy to get a credit card as in Turkey. In Turkey, they nearly distribute credit cards in the streets. When I was a student with no income,  I had nearly 4 credit cards each of them having limits changing from 500 to 1000 YTL. In France, for people who do not work, it is impossible to get a credit card. Here the laws about limits are stricter. And there´s no tax cards as in Turkey. Though, shopping with tax cards is really cool.
