i have been in turkiye in feb and it is very cold in the evenings yes so coat weather, also there is still snow on the mountains, and in my opinion its safe as anywhere these days, just be aware of large men or women with big coats and pack backs

Hi Kati

Yup it will be cold especially at night.. Marmaris is a very very different place in winter than in summer but still a great place in my opinion.

£220 is not bad, you could probably get it slightly cheaper but at that time of year you are probably more limited to flights, I am watching for flights at the moment for the end on Jan or early feb...

Have a great time !

Go to www.skyscanner.net, flights from London to Dalaman on 19/02 - 26/02 is just £111.46 with flythomascook!

If you could find cheap accomodation then you could save a bit!

Just another thought too - EasyJet now fly to Istanbul for silly prices like £30. A connecting flight should only cost about 60YTL (£25) so if you don't mind connecting that could be even better.

Flying to Turkey frequently has taught me to tighten the purse strings ;o)

Hope i learn to tighten the purse strings quick otherwise this could cost me a fortune. The worse thing is, i live way up in Scotland and its not so cheap up here.

Yeah i did look into it but by the time id sorted out all the trasfers it got expencive, and the best cheap flights are form london and i can only go from Manchester, just need someone to do it all for me, but the travel agents got a bit expencive.

Ive been with holidays for you before and they were pretty good, ill just have to see what happens, still worried about going on my own again.

Lot of ppl are saying that i am stupid and my Turkish man only wants one thing, but ill give it a go! he he

Hey i don't think you'r stupid. Am on the same boat. Am wanting to go to Maramris to see my Turkish bf after christmas, but like you, am a bit scared of doing it alone!!

I went to Marmaris in August and loved it so it's not just the Turkish Guy am going for. Some men do look for one thing and others don't. You have to go to find out!!

Im not to sure what hotel i am thinking about stayin in think it is the Serin hotel or something, im not to sure of the name.

Even if i am doing something stupid its not like we are going to get married next week, and im sure that ill learn from my own mistakes if things are to go wrong. I always have my HUGE family and friends tp support me.

Hes not just my only friend over there which is a good thing as well, so even if we argue over there or anything ive got mates, ive even got a english friend that is living out there with her fella now so ill just have to see what happens.
