Guys !
I need help on a study.
Could you post the sounds of an action, or a look or a happening. Turkish and/or English with explanation.
Or can you post English equivalents of Tr. ones and vice versa.

Except sound of animals.

TR. gurul gurul - sound of hungriness - ENG. ?
TR. hüngür hüngür - sound of crying - ENG ?
TR. fokur fokur - sound of a boiling water. - ENG ?

Lop lop - sound of being in a LOP situation. Soft and round like a well-done boiled egg.
Pıt pıt - ??? (no idea)

But keep posting. Is it true that English doesn't have any such sounds ? Post some.

Thanks Bliss!

And actually it was "pıt pıt yağ olsun" or something, if I remember correctly... What does that mean then?

There used to be a commercial for Alka Seltzer (bromide tablets for upset stomach)
that sang: Plop Plop Fizz Fizz when dropping the tablets into a cup of water.
