Besides museums, the Schönbrunn castle is worth visiting. Its gardens, the labyrinth, the Zoo and the castle itself will take a day.
In the square in front of the Town Hall - Rathaus - there is an artificial skating-rink during wintertime, while in summer opera is projected on wide-screen. Here is also a platz where all kind of food from several places in the world can be found.
Have a tour of the Ringstrasse.
You can also go in the Flohmarkt if there on Saturnday.
And try the Prater entertainment center, also.

And yes, a Viennese Caffé with a newspaper is a must. In addition apple or chocolate cake. If meeting Zweig or Kafka, just open your eyes.)))

You are welcome.
If you meet them, it would be not only your honour, but also your privilege.)))))))))
If so, please let me know how they are doing these days.
If they are currently not in Café Central, the atmosphere would be still worth it.

Hello Yilgun,

I am in Vienna already for 6 weeks, and its quite cold these days. I am here for some business issues, but will be leaving in a couple of weeks.

Vienna is a nice city, people are helpful when you ask something but better to know some german here. If you are coming as a tourist i would recommend you to stay in city center "innerstadt". there you can see most of the cultural activities and museums of Vienna.

What you should know is you can find food till late but most of the shops are closing around 6 or 7 and shopping malls are not like turkey like open till 22. And if you miss your mothers lentil soup you can go to a restaurant called ETAP its on the line of U-bahn U6.

http://www.viyanarehberi.com/tr/index.asp

on this link you can find some hotels that are run by turks. or you can google some hostels for students on google.

enjoy your trip.

Thank you Melek74 .

Of course, I know everything about Kafka and Zweigh.

As you understant It was just a joke.

I like Camus, Faulkner, Kafka, Dostoyevski, Joyce, Shakespeare, A.Cehov, P.Auster and Tolstoy as novelists and play writers.

Are you interested in the world literature and world movie?

I have  read around 300 books about the world literature and movie in my home.

How many books have you read?

Thanx for giving me some prompts.I will definitely invite cynic there at his expenses to teach him some manners, ouups wanted to say mannerism  and to discuss fair and square my dowry details as he is obsessively concerned about matching me...)and in a meanwhile to make myself flabbergasted with his"gone by the book"Cobra dance he boasts a lot about, which will suit perfectly the music played in the background or...I will bite him gorging myself with his sense of humour ...to death.
