Why does turkishclass.com and the dictionary website suddenly stop working every now and then? or is this only happening to me?

It's because of some internal server problems... We apologize for the inconvenience.

Let me guess:
-the hit is almost the same as before. So it cant be sudden rush of users hitting the site.
-I see some mysql errors from time to time.
-possibly your database is filled with many messages.
-you need optimization of your db
-you may need moving the database into a different box.
-you may need more ram
hahaha..
shall I continue with more my know-all guesses?

It's a little strange that the errors they just show up. Usually with mySQL errors, as I've seen it anyway, they happen if you've made changes and there are conflicts in the coding. Right?

Azade, are you a computer geek?
Actually, if there were mistakes in the code, the web site would load with some error messages, but in this case it's the database not loading.

Today I have seen both error messages and the site not loading.
Now, I'm just an ex-geek dealing with graphics so server stuff bored me but my guess is for the downtime, yes it's probably the server taking a vacation, and the endless mysql errors are conflicts in database/coding. I'll pay closer attention to what they say if I see them again. I don't really know so much about this specifically just experienced it a few times working with php and that was really easy to solve, I don't know about this.

mysql is the easist db in the world. And of course it is free.
But what tends to happen with these type of websites is that database fills up with the messages. and all those deletes and modifyings kind of leaves holes in the database.
Basically it becomes quite big. because all dbs are related very closely with I(nput)/O(utput) and ram, db starts getting slaggish and starts using huge ram, and if your server does not have enough ram, programnmes start fighting about the ram.(server gets very slow-cpu usage go quite high etc)
And sometimes programmes get killed by the Operating systems.
dbs are killed first in some type of servers
Of course above is just my general observations on webservers and dbs..not related to tc..

This is serious. How can you say that about server Bush? Where is the evidence that he ever had speed? It is a fact that for something to slow down, it had to be quick and sharp to begin with.
Something must me done about this attack on the dbs by the Op Systems. Invite them to the forum to discuss their grievances. It's imperative they have confidence in the mediator though. On no account must you allow Mccain anywhere near such a delicate matter, he's only interested in bytes and will perpetuate the problem. Adonis is your man, he proved his worth in his RAM campaign (Runts Against Menopausals).
But who will be his rubbibg partne?

Well I personally think Cookie Trackers are the only way to solve this problem. Chemical warfare such as a virus attack is definitely a contravention of WAP regulations.

Open your eyes man! I suggest you read: The Hawkins Herald, Gates' Gazette, The Daily Democeat and The Republican Reporter. But steer clear of The Bush Bugle (nothing but comic strips and candy ads) and John's Journal (he just can't make his mind up from one column to the next).

But I am not sure that weekly reindexing!! creating the main indexes (at the db, at work) takes more than 36 hours for me..

I think we should keep it as our little secret.
When you say 'I am in IT', people mostly think you are very boring and a bit weird. It is best kept as a secret.
I remember meeting this client of us, whom I spent hours on the phone, for the first time in an exhibition. She told me that she always had this image of me a man with a pony tail.. ..
Ok..it is our secret!!
btw. I am still not convinced about weekly reindexing though
