Saudi Arabia to execute woman for 'witchcraft'

BEIRUT, Lebanon - A leading human rights group appealed to Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah on Thursday to stop the execution of a woman accused of witchcraft and performing supernatural acts.

The New York-based Human Rights Watch said in a statement that the kingdom's religious police who arrested and interrogated Fawza Falih, and the judges who tried her in the northern town of Quraiyat never gave her the opportunity to prove her innocence in the face of "absurd charges that have no basis in law."

Falih's case underscores shortcomings in Saudi Arabia's Islamic legal system in which rules of evidence are shaky, lawyers are not always present and sentences often depend on the whim of judges.

Saudi Arabia is governed by the Sheria rules and this country makes a very big betrayal to Islam, and KSA and the other countries in which are governed by the Sheria rules prevent the smiling and real face of Islam. Islam is only a religion, the last celestial religion, not a type of goverment and I think that Islam must be renovated, must be escape from Sheria rules (especially the moron Islamic statesman), and must approach the civilization level.

witchcraft is not related to the real Islam religion and it's identified one of the biggest sins and illicit in Islam. witchcraft derives from primitive and supersitious beliefs, and most of people are ignorant who apply witchcract and the other supernatural acts.

I'm castigating this event and it is not related to Human Rights and Civilization. These kind of events give the opportunity to insult and swear Islam religion for most of the enemies of Islam.

However, this event can't be arrogated to Islam religion. It must be arrogated to the uncivilized Islamic states where the Sheria rules are applied and don't show any respect to Human Rights.

Adonis - It's amazing that you defend Islam but don't mention anything about this woman or express any regret that she is going to be put to death for ridiculous reasons!

Women across the globe should RALLY for this woman's life.
If you women unite....trully unite, you can create a
miracle.....

If this poor woman is executed.....you will regret you
did nothing....

A life is a life is a life.....do it...!
