Some more:

Turkish version: Nilüfer - Çok uzaklarda
Greek version: Charis Alexiou - Tango tis nefelis
(above song has the music of Loreena Mckennit)

Turkish version: Bengü - Korkumdan ağladım
Greek version: Anna Vissi - Ekplisi

Turkish version: Hülya Avşar - Sevdim
Greek version: Anna Vissi - Eleni

Turkish version:Sezen Aksu - Vazgeçtim
Greek version: cant find it online, but it is originally from Eleftheria Arvanitaki - Ta shinia (I dont know if I transcribed it correctly from the greek album, but it is supposed to mean 'the ropes').

Turkish version: Sezen Aksu - Sarışın (couldnt find better quality now) (or more modern: Gülşen ( )
Greek version: Eleftheria - Dinata

There are many many more. Sorry for the Turkish who keep saying that the Greek steal their food and music: most of these songs are originally Greek even the ones of Sezen Aksu Have to say I prefer all their originals, except the ones sezen did.

And this is the perfect mix between Turkish and Greek:

Charoula and Minik Serçe!! Its the song Gidiyorum bu şehirden in Turkish, and my two favourite singers made a düet of it, Sezen Aksu and Charis Alexiou!

Greek version: Haris Alexiou - Mia pista apo fosforo
Turkish version: Sezen Aksu - Herşeyi yak

(the video with the greek song, are from the Turkish film O kadın-that woman, which is based on sezens songs. I watched it in cinema aboıut 4 months ago and it is BRİLLİANT)

And both these songs really go through all my body.. they are so beautiful!

Yes I know, their version is ok, but no way near the 'effect' of Sezen Aksu's

I love Haris Alexiou. I was brought up with their music since my parents met each other at greek lesson. It is relaly just a part of my childhood and it really touches me deeply everytime I hear one of those songs in Turkish as well.

Mia pista apo fosforo is indeed a beautiful song

Well, I want to choose it as second language at university, but my university doesnt offer it. So depending on my schedule for the coming year, I might decide to study in Amsterdam as well for 2 days in the week. Otherwise it will have to wait till I am in my graduation-year and have some more time

Sorry people, dont want to spoil the fun and it is great that you can practice your Greek, but as an admin I have to remind you that the first language of the forums is English, and in some Turkish. Not Greek yani (No Ãœzi, don't start talking Chinese now )
