I like that fact that there seems to be a unspoken trust. I mean, I see places like small marble suppliers shops, they have great big slabs of beautiful polished, absolutely gorgeous marble surfaces for kitchens or bathrooms stacked up outside the shop. They stay outside all night unattended and they are still there in the morning !

How lovely !

Have you ever tried to lift a piece of marble? lol
This is all a bit "rose tinted spectacles" for me! I love Turkey very much, but dont try to pretend it is crime free and full of lovely people who stand up for old ladies on the bus!

It is the same for any country - the cities and resorts have many crime problems, and the smaller towns less so. I love Turkey - but my love is not blind

Of course it isn´t rose tinted and I am not trying to pretend otherwise. I simply pointed out one thing I love about Turkey. You are very quick to judge that I look through rose-tinted glasses! I know for a fact that not many people offer their seats on buses and all the other negativities bla bla bla, but this thread is about the positive aspects of life here ! o kadar canım!

Turkish cuisine is definitely a huge positive aspect of the country. I still drool at the mouth thinking of those veggies, fruit and sweets...
