an insult is an insult...

and the only reason that implication came up in the first place, was of his own post in another thread, of joining Al quieda... isn´t that a terrorist group?

Where is your proof? I think tami has no fancy to Al Qaide, he is also atheist as far as i know . In this situation you become a slanderer...

First of lying is a sin in every religion I think.

Secondly, lying with an idea in the mind that ´ I am protecting my contry´s reputation´ is a betrayal for your own country..Because those lies are one of the reasons ´why we are advancing so slowly in the way of democracy and form of life´.

If I go to Turkey and say that I am converted to Christianity I will be refused by some of my friends (because most them are like me). I will be refused by my entire relatives.. (I dont think my own family will refuse me)

If anybody says the other way, it is a lie..

You will be treated as if you  betrayed your country (despite the fact that we are secular) You will be called ´gavur, dinsiz´ etc. If you are a female you might  be treated as a sex object only. They will keep talking about that they converted you with money etc.

Our country is the country sometimes where people are beaten up because they eat or drink during ramadan. Most of them will argue with you that you are insulting their religion because you are not fasting and declaring it openly by eating. You only can imagine what happens if you say you are a converted christian.

Portraying it the other way is comical.

Here is a list for you covering last several years about the incidents happened to Christians in Turkey.

http://cumhuriyetforum.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=10262

I am not going to translate it but bombings of churches/threatening people and some killings (I think they were behaded) are all in that list..

So it is better if we dont lie to ourselves..

It is always better if we live with less lies..

btw..I am not talking about people coming to Turkey as christians and living there as they are..I am talking about the converts here..

Firstly i have to remind you that slandering is another a sin. I only said there i think one can openly say that he/she converted into christianity, he/she was protected by laws hence nobody has right to kill him/her. and the other stages are simply normal about the relationships with your family and friends. Dont you think same things happen when a devout catholic parents´ child for instance converted into Islam?

btw you can also find many people not only converts who do not fast or pray, and nobody calls them like the way you described(but now im nt sure since AKP governing the country that you always praise ). Other awful events you selected with tweezers, can also happen in any country due to lack of respect to freedom of religion. It seems an avarage 10 events happen in a year, other countries needs to be checked also. Noone should approve these events in Turkey except the bigots...

what a foolish comment. Whats westernization btw? Someone who marries a foreign woman, needs to be westernized(i dont know how it happens) or are all foreign women from west? One can add more questions like this .

Do you really think a Turkish man who marries a foreign woman become westerner? who taught this to you or just what you dream when you married your Turkish dudu (i know im talking nonsense comments but im really confused how to reply this post )

yes... a nonsense comment, hehehehe.... because i didn´t say that Someone who marries a foreign woman, NEEDS to be westernized. that came from you. {#lang_emotions_lol_fast}

There are some Turkish people who have adapted western culture, whether they are married to one or not. And by adapting western culture, i mean Turkish people who don´t practice conservative Turkish traditions or values, because of the influence of modern values...  one example i´m aware of...is i know of some Turk people who were not practicing Ramazan anymore. There are plenty other examples, read other posts. If you don´t want to, then ok...

No, i don´t think a Turkish man who marries a foreign woman becomes a westerner. duh... lol... A lot of the younger population of Turkey is adapting to modern values or practices of western culture, and that doesn´t make them a ´westerner´ either. (why do some people have a negative reaction to the word "west? "  lol.. )

Nobody taught this to me, it´s just a personal observation... (corrections are accepted... )

It is not my dream either when i´m married to my Turkish dudu... {#lang_emotions_lol_fast} Should i take this as an insult? your making generalizations about me, don´t you think? Pretty hypocritical for someone who is accusing another person for making generalizations too.... lol...

and once again.... we have moved on from the topic... i don´t know why you are still holding on to the topic....

Why dont you do your own research then enlighten us please? , its known that Karay Turks are descedants of Khazars who were constitued a jewish Turkish state. And religion of Turkic Karays is called Karaism that they were attached to Torah but also contains some influences of Islam which is distinct to Rabbanical Judaism. Seems tamikidakika is right , im waiting for your research?

if you keep cutting parts from my posts, you wouldn´t understand what i´m trying to say in my comments...

i felt the argument was getting heated so i decided to divert the attention to "wikipedia being an unreliable source..." i also said that "some UK sites and servers are banning wikipedia" and i was also inquiring whether this was true....

moving on...

Another absurd comment unfortunately, justin sometimes silence is better or should i say instead of thinking last night, why didnt you do a little research? It seems you have internet .

Let me add one to this , "i was thinking deeply last night, Ephesus was a part of a whole pagan movement, what happened to that people that changed their belief into christianity?" Or one more " the whole American continent was once pagan and shaman, what happened to that people that changed their belief into christianity?"

I think you should think deeply like me

Well the word "Anotalia" was never mentioned here, so everyone would assume he is referring to Turkey as a whole....

and like i said on my comment about Ephesus, i was asking people to ENLIGHTEN ME on that issue, (you would have seen that if you weren´t cutting parts of my comments to suit your accusations about me)  but nobody did. Instead i was attacked about my ignorance about the issue. And yes i will say again, i was ignorant about the issue, that´s why i was ASKING PEOPLE TO ENLIGHTEN ME. which i will say again... nobody did...

think deeply like you? .... moving on....

whats the radical islam´s btw? And another question where is this influence for about 64 years? Have they just noticed that Hitler influenced from so-called radical islam? I think they researched and found the relation after 2001, voila radical muslim(influenced) Hitler killed all the jews. Simply absurd. There is no radical islam, islam is islam, because according to Islam that terrorists not seen to be muslim, they just claimed to be.

i think its better you educate yourself...

okay... radical muslims... i have been corrected about this already in case you weren´t reading other posts... (apparently your reading my posts only? seeing most of your posts are taken from my previous posts.... and even asking me to think deeply like YOU.  {#lang_emotions_lol_fast}i´m starting to think you have a thing for me... lol.. {#lang_emotions_lol_fast}{#lang_emotions_lol_fast}{#lang_emotions_lol_fast} )

and yes... i am educating myself, i´m young and still have a lot to learn... i have also promised everyone here to give further study on the issue, (comments and corrections are accepted)  and post another thread about radical muslims...

and again armegon.... pls move on..... we already did.... if you want to stay in this thread, and post more comments against other people´s comments here, you´re welcome.  But i think majority of us who have made posts here have already let go of the issue... don´t you think it´s time you should too? But if you prefer to have the last word on this thread, feel free to do so....

i´m outta this thread... adios... {#lang_emotions_ty_ty}
