alameda, I think I finally get you. You do not identify yourself as a peer of any earthly human being let alone another American....(not such a bad thing for me).
You don´t want to accept the fact that if you are living in the US, regardless of your ethnic background, you are part of the culture. I can seen now why you are so quick to dislike other Americans.
As for where I live....right now I live in Texas because that is where my career took me but I spent most of my life abroad and on the Northeast Coast of the US (NY and Boston).
I also spent several months living the the Middle East with my father.....but none of this makes me an authority on culture or people.
But what I find interesting about you is that you act like you are an authority on everything (including Texas). So, go ahead and continue to put everyone down to make yourself feel more important. If that is what you need to do to get thru the day, then more power to you.
Who said I don´t like Americans? You, not me. It´s just that you don´t seem to realize that the USA...(America is the continent, not the country) IS a multicultural society. I don´t identify with you or girleegirl´s part of it that culture.
You don´t speak for me as an "American", and I know many others who do not identify with your interpretation of "American" culture.
If you feel I have put you down, I´m sorry for that and I apologise for that. It was never my intention to hurt your feelings, or the feelings of anyone here.
I think it was over "Right to Life" issues we started having problems. Well, when you are willing to impose your ideas on millions of other citizens, I object. That is part of multiculturalism, acceptance of others beliefs....without the imposition of yours on others.
