When I read the name of Baran´s lawyer I wasn´t surprised anymore. Gerard Spong, a lawyer who will defend anyone with loads of money no matter what they did (but is not available for criminals without a lot of cash!). He defended Bouterse, president of Surinam, accused of the 1980 December killings. Typical: Spong himself is half-Surinam.... (and Bouterse very loaded).

Unfortunately, money REALLY is the root of ALL evil! (well, I guess the exception would be psychopaths who do terrible things just to do them!)

I didn´t read anything regarding his recruitment process or how he was raised.  The fact of the matter is this man appears to be a psychopath. He could have very nice parents, don´t blame his parents for his actions. Don´t blame the victim, we don´t know how they were recruited.

I said the thing about respect for women, because his brother is in business with him. His parents can be very nice yes, but clearly something went wrong if the males in this family think it´s okay to do this to women. They clearly stated in an interview that they felt no regrets. And I´m not blaming the victim, it´s just the typical profile of a "lover-boy" victim. I´m saying we should arm girls. Not with guns, but with a strong sense of self, and street-smarts.

Oh, and the picture of the wedding, isn´t the picture I posted here. If you were wondering if the blond girl on the pic is his wife... nope, the picture he is creating a lawsuit over is with a different woman.

That is what a psychopathic personality is.  We don´t know how many brothers and sisters he has, or anything about his family. We only have information regarding him and his brother.  Did one intimidate the other into these actions?

"Psychopathy      is a personality disorder whose hallmark is a lack of empathy. Researcher Robert Hare, whose Hare Psychopathy Checklist is widely used, describes psychopaths as "intraspecies predators  who use charisma, manipulation, intimidation, sexual intercourse and violence to control others and to satisfy their own needs. Lacking in conscience and empathy, they take what they want and do as they please, violating social norms and expectations without guilt or remorse". "What is missing, in other words, are the very qualities that allow a human being to live in social harmony."

Psychopaths are glib and superficially charming, and many psychopaths are excellent mimics of normal human emotion; some psychopaths can blend in, undetected, in a variety of surroundings, including corporate environments. There is neither a cure nor any effective treatment for psychopathy; there are no medications or other techniques which can instill empathy, and psychopaths who undergo traditional talk therapy only become more adept at manipulating others. The consensus among researchers is that psychopathy stems from a specific neurological disorder which is biological in origin and present from birth. It is estimated that one percent of the general population are psychopaths."

Society needs to figure out an effective deterrent to psychopathic behaviour....ASAP!

He´s a pimp, it´s as simple as that. What´s the point of analysing whether or not his parents read him the proper bedtime stories. He found a way to make money and feel power. Probably because of these steroids he has problems down there and  boosts his ego this way.

I hope he gets a just sentence and gets raped a few times in prison.

And I have no idea what women drinking in bars have to do with this thing. He forced women int prostitution, probably started with those who already had been on the streets. The girls drinking in bars are usually less naive than those who stay home all the time dreaming of idyllic love. The latter fall for sweet talk more easily, the former know men better

as far as I know, it´s not the lloks that count in prisons. Withe their limited resources, inmates use sex to put themselves in the position of power. Just like dogs in a pack, really...the alpha-dog humps other dogs just to show them their place

.........actually, girls drinking in bars too often have the dangerous fantasy of invulnerability....the "It Can´t Happen to Me" syndrome,  as do so most young people.  Why else have the young fighting wars in the front lines?

The more sophisticated ladies may know men better....if they last that long.

All I am saying is.....realize there are some very dangerous opportunistic people out there, so take measures to keep yourself safe.

Baran was arrested in Antalya. He was living in his luxury apartment there, thinking he was untouchable. But the Dutch government had talks with the Turkish government. And now the Turkish government found some crimes he commited in Turkey that they could arrest him for. Glad this happened
