Paris first is the best and most beautfiful City for me. I love it.

But,
I have never been to Istanbul.

I also like Izmir, its not especially beautiful, but I think its awesome!

London is ok! Maybe i'm just used to it!

I haven't seen a nice city yet, although I've seen Paris, New York, Amsterdam... I think Washington DC is the nicest one of all of them... and of course Cracow!

I liked many cities around the world - Istanbul being most exotic and thus the most beautiful. If I had a chance I'd like to see Rio de Janeiro at the carnival time

I love Istanbul but felt a little tired of it. I love Cracov and Prague, becuse it reminds me of Cracov a bit, it has the same incredible magic atmosphere. I like this kind of places that's why I loved Istanbul - it also has fantastic exotic climate.

I saw many places in here...
I could say the same thing about Turkey- I would like to see Malatya or Ankara but I couldn't see malatya or other part of eastern Turkey at all and only a part of Ankara. Only Istanbul was avaiable...

My Baby introduced the beauty of Istanbul to me.. it's people, way of living and so on, but I really never been there. I know a lot of people fascinated to it though.. but if there is one place which caught my heart that would be the Special Administrative Region of Hong Kong. I love the weather, the food, the place, the people and its culture. I am actually planning to go back next year and stay the rest of my life there.

I've seen

Paris
St.Tropez
Cannes
Venice
Amsterdam
Brussel

and some small cities around.
(and a lot of cities in Turkey)

I can't put İstanbul in anywhere because it's my city. I think all of them are nice, but maybe Paris was the most and Amsterdam was the least I liked among the big ones. I would like to go back to Brussel one day again, because it looked great and I couldn't spend enough time.
And in Turkey, I like Capadoccia (Nevşehir) very much.

Oh and I forgot. Brugge is also a very cute city. You have to see there.

My favourite city in the world is Barcelona – I love that city!!! And I could easily see myself living happily ever after there, so that would be my first choice.

And the second choice at this moment would be Istanbul...I am falling in love with her just from her looks and from listening to what people tell me about her... She is really something, huh?

Depends if it's for a holiday or to live in.

A holiday? Budapest, Vienna, Istanbul, Paris, London and my favourite Kyoto. All great. Each has it's own charme.

To live in? My hometown Rotterdam (because I know it) but also many other places in my country. No place abroad because I would miss my country too much if it was forever.

1) Cambridge UK, a very cosmopolitan city with beautiful achitecture, historic universities, lovely river with punts to hire, great restaurants and bars.

2) Istanbul - city of intrigue and fascination, historic and awe inspiring architecture.

3) Hong Kong - mystical, with a great mix of oriental and modern, a 24 hour night city that never sleeps!!

If we're solely talking about big cities, I'd have to go with Istanbul. It's a fantastic city to me, but maybe that's just because it's the city where I fell in love Also I find London quite great, probably because people never take me for a tourist there I hate being called a tourist.

Cities that have disappointed includes Paris and Miami. Paris - well just not my cup of tea. And Miami - it's just impossible to get anywhere on foot, you need to have a car at all times. That's one thing that's great about Istanbul, even if you've walked a couple of kilometres you feel it's much less because there's something to look at all the time.

There are nice things to see in most cities, but I have mostly been disappointed by most big cities. This includes Paris, Istanbul, New York. I've been very disappointed by their dirtiness and chaos and by the things that are admired by other people. While the architecture of Istanbul is great to see for Europeans, it didn't leave a lasting impression on me. The same happened when I went to Paris, not to even mention New York which was such a disappointment to me. I don't like old, crowded cities.

The ones I liked most were Krakow, DC, and some German cities. Krakow is beautiful and has so much history, coziness and German cities are clean and cute. DC was the most cultured city I've ever seen. It's very classy there.

Brugge (Bruges) is a very cute city indeed, but I wouldn't like to live in a city that's being described as "cute". It's a beautiful place with a lot of history, but to me it feels more like an open air museum. I don't feel the "soul" there.

My choice (and maybe it's because I'm still on a huge fresh high): Istanbul!

Washington DC is one of my favorite cities as well. I would ask those of you who are questioning it as a choice if you have ever been there. The city is vibrant and brimming with intelligence (that is not commentary on the current president ), it is cultured, diverse, and sophisticated. The city was well planned and easy to get around. And it is home to one of the greatest museums in the US, the Smithsonian.
I also love Chicago, Melbourne, Athens, and although I spent only a few hours there many years ago, Istanbul remains close to the top of my list.
But my favorite place is a very small village in Montana called Big Fork. It is serene and stunningly beautiful and not surprisingly a magnet for artist.

While I know that to have been true in the past I believe it has changed quite a bit in recent years. When is the last time you were there? My last visit there was last summer and wandered all over the city by myself. Never once did I feel afraid which unfortunately, I can't say for many of the other cities I have visited.

Oh...and I forgot to mention another favorite....San Francisco!

I wasn't afraid to walk around. Crime is a part of life everywhere one goes. I just wasn't convinced...DC shooter, carjackings, and other sorts of things make it stand out as far as crime is concerned. Too, in DC the difference between the have and the have nots is very visible. I found most people to be too busy to smile or even say a simple hello. It lacked the charm that other cities have. I prefer San Francisco, Buenos Aires or San Luis Obispo. I like friendly laid back, do it your way and we'll not say a thing sort of people...as long as you're not breaking any laws. DC is too traditional and conservative for my tastes. I'm a Cali girl..D.C. offers nothing that registers high on my lists of must haves for a city.
