What does it mean when you add -in to a Turkish word?

Different meanings.

 

1. The English equivalent is ´s. Meaning ´beloning to this/him/her´. It will then be followed by a word ending in i/ı/u/ü. This is called possessive relationship.

You should study this though, it´s more complicated than that.

Evin damı - [ev-in dam-ı] - the roof of the house
