Whats the Turkish word for....?

ok i'm confused now, i only wanted to let my friend know that i had found out that i had passed my assignment at university which was an essay, it wasnt a dissertation or a thesis or anything like that just a plain old 5000 word essay.

sorry i asked now lol

i just said essay with (yazi deneme?) in brackets after it, if he understand he understands, if he doesnt, he doesnt lol its no big deal (well passing was but not him knowing lol)
