After settling in and hours of dusting and cleaning every corner of the place I decided to wash all the kitchen utensils and stuff as well because it gets icky from Alanya weather very quickly, and what happens.....the damn machine explodes and takes the fuse along as well now the whole place smells like there's been a fire, I need an electrician and I have to wash all the utensils by hand!!
Alanya is horrible in the winter, I hate homes without radiators and central heating brrrrr

I'm not staying in my home now the dishwasher just happens to be here so I thought why not use it. But I guess not Previously I've also done it by hand but it's really cold to do in the winter here the water is freezing and not so effective Boohoo it doesn't matter in the big picture my husband is coming home on Wednesday and at least we have a place to stay

Ohhh....azade....Thank you for that. You make me appreciate having hot water on demand. When I got back to the States after being in Morrocco (in January, February and March) hot and cold running water seemed like a miracle! I was so happy to have running water, a flush toilet and central heat. The ability to flip on lights was wonderful....no more kerosene.

I'm glad not to have to take anymore cold showers ....yuk! The only way to get warm was to go to the hamam and hang out all day. I lived with one family that didn't even have running water. The water was brought in in large jugs everyday. That was it. You sure didn't waste any of it.

You are so right. There's nothing more luxury than hot water and central heat, that's really all anyone can ask for It seems that everyone's constantly sick here during the winter months because their homes are cold. In my husband's city they don't even have running water right now because the pipes are frozen.
