You are so right. There's nothing more luxury than hot water and central heat, that's really all anyone can ask for It seems that everyone's constantly sick here during the winter months because their homes are cold. In my husband's city they don't even have running water right now because the pipes are frozen.

Ohhh....azade....Thank you for that. You make me appreciate having hot water on demand. When I got back to the States after being in Morrocco (in January, February and March) hot and cold running water seemed like a miracle! I was so happy to have running water, a flush toilet and central heat. The ability to flip on lights was wonderful....no more kerosene.

I'm glad not to have to take anymore cold showers ....yuk! The only way to get warm was to go to the hamam and hang out all day. I lived with one family that didn't even have running water. The water was brought in in large jugs everyday. That was it. You sure didn't waste any of it.

isnt it that evil usa?

Underfloor heating is quite common the UK (I have it). Most common central heating is underfloor or radiators - never warm air

Korean technology? I think even the Roman's had it.

Ahh I understand now. The US has mostly an air conditioning heating system, so the Koreans and the US assume "all the west" have the same !!!! Actually no, most of Europe use radient heating

Yes, but I think the Korean one is a little different, also they have had the technology in continually for a couple of thousand years.

I envy you with your radiant heat, and wish I had it.

Although people think California is warm, that's outside. Homes here are not at all well insulated and the heating systems are not very efficient in most homes.

The coldest I've ever been inside is in Morocco and CA
