Thanks for info about the Turkish audio downloads. Coincidently, it matches the vocabulary and dialogues found in the book I bought last year. The audio CD was not availabe at that bookstore. If anyone is interested in purchasing the book, it is titled "Teach yourself Turkish" by David Pollard and Asuman Çelen Pollard.

I agree. One of the best ways to start gaining fluency is by memorizing the language in chunks.

My friend bought an espresso machine and was experimenting her own coffees. After drinking espressos everyday for a week, she couldn´t sleep for the next two...

I remember a few years ago when coffee beans that passed through the digestive system of a civet were all the rage. It was and still maybe about $150 per pound. I´ve never tried it. There´s just something really odd about drinking coffee that´s been collected from cat feces. Hmm...{#lang_emotions_puking}

Yeehawwww! I´m from Texas. I used to love barbecue and steak. After visiting Istanbul, my new love is for iskender kebap and pide. I´m learning Turkish to embrace the culture on a deeper level. I hope to be with my better half sometime next year. Until then, I´ll be in class.
