i hope you don't think i am not defending turkish men..i just don't like that you treat us as if we all are here to fish girls then get them naked on cams! that must make you feel precious!
and i am sure the girl who started this thread was expecting the men here to say " oooh yes we love blondes blah blah" ... anyway... i think i talked too much  |
Totally agree - and actually, I don't think many girls here were agreeing with her.... (well I wasn't anyway  )

just for the record, I married a Turkish man and I love him to death but some of this is true. I know he talks to his friends about meeting russian girls and talk about their hair and beautiful blue eyes.. and he does whatch porn...much. How come he married me??? a Mexican?? put that aside we are still together because we love each other and because I realized that man (from any country)usually stare at tall blondes...beautiful because they are not the typical woman they are nice to fantasize with and look at. But, at the end, most of them will end up with a regular "yazmin" or typical girl with all or most qualities they look for in a wife. Now, some of the luckiest guys can find all these qualities in a tall blonde..

While Mr mavisakal is righteously angry to hear that Turkish guys are called perverts, I think he should be quite aware of the popularity of porn among guys and how they "look" at women. Again, I define a pervert any guy who thinks that it's ok to objectify women - not to look at them as humans, but as sex objects. That's the bottom line.

I must say I agree with this, some of the things I've seen and the way some tourist girls act makes me feel very annoyed. They may have no self-respect for themselves, that's their problem, but I'd hate to be associated with them or thought of as one of them when I'm visiting. How a girl can go and degrade herself in that way puzzles me, whether it be abroad, or in their own country.

I totally agree with this as well catwoman. And I think porn has done so much damage.

Mavi - nobody said that ALL turks are like that, that's your add-on (I specifically said that I'm not generalizing it to all men). We're talking about the guys who do. However, the real question is - what's the percent of Turks (or other nationalities) that do behave this way? If you counted men who degrade women overall in their lives by "just" watching porn and making degrading comments about them, the numbers would be in their high 90's.
For sure, getting a woman naked on cam does not make the dude/pervert feel precious, since for him she's just a piece of meat he has no respect for (the thinking probably goes like: since she disrespected herself, now I'm morally clean by disrespecting her). That does not make him feel precious, more like satisfied how clever he is that he managed to fool and use her.

I want to give my opinion just about one point.
Do you consider a man who watches porn as a pervert?
If we're gonna consider the men who watch porn as perverts, then I guess the number of perverts will be very high.
It's open to discussion but according to me watching porn cannot mean necesarily that that man degrades woman in his life.

why you are obsessed with porn thing? you think we all men spend our time watching porn? last time i watched porn i was 18
i think women are as guilty as men about being object!
most girls just look at some magazines and try to make theirselves look like those beautiful women in magazines. just to be liked by men! (i mean most of girls)
and i cannot understand why all feminist women always talk about same things...being object blah blah..tell me what you do for other women who needs help..in istanbul i know lots of feminist women and all they do is just talking.. there are millions of women dont know reading and writing in turkey in anatolia. and millions women who are beaten by their husbands..but those beautiful city dweller women still only talk on tv!
you can get equality just by working..not talking..not chatting here..do something better.
please dont take it personally...it is just a criticism for all women

My opinion too! I would like to know as this thread seems to be on this subject, about women who watch porn and how about women who watch porn with their partners? Are they all perverts?
