İ just wonder, why is she still the queen so far? Why not Prince Charles?
İ mean ,do you 'British' love her more ,and refuse that he be the king or its her own choice ?!

Quoting lady in red:

I think you would use 'Affedersiniz' or maybe 'Kusura bakmayin'.

As for the 'Sorry, I am afraid' together - I was just illustrating how English never only uses one word when it can use two or more!!!

Thanks LR,thats new one to me,and its very close also 'Kusura bakmayin' i mean
İ believe then in translation like
Sorry,im afraid i dont hear you
We can say,Affedersiniz,Kusura bakmayin seni dinlemiyorum

Quoting yilgun-7:

4- 'Sorry, I am afraid, I didn't hear you' = AFEDERSİNİZ ( ÜZGÜNÜM), KORKARIM, SİZİ DUYAMADIM

İ dont think we can use KORKARIM here,it wont give the same meaning
Here afraid is something like im worry because i dont hear you well
İts not real fear
So can we say ,AFEDERSİNİZ,kaygıyım SİZİ DUYAMADIM ?
Or something like that ?

In English, 'afraid' is used here to mean 'I am sorry' - 'I'm sorry, I didn't get it right', 'I'm sorry, I don't hear you' = 'I apologise for not getting it right', 'I apologise for not hearing you'.

Often we might use both and say 'Sorry, I am afraid I didn't hear you'!

Yes,that i understand in English, but how do we say it in Turkish ?!
And now you even made it worse ...lol
Sorry and im afraid together ?!
So how will we say it ?
Pardon,özür dilerim,seni dinlemiyorum ?!

Also how do we say 'i dont get it'
İ mean 'get' here as same as in this sentence i know it mean understand and we can translate it like this, but is there a translation for 'get' in Turkish ?!

İt is such a tragydy
İ just dont understand why the government holding the rescue effort, and why doesnt allow the foreigner help ?!
Afraid if those countries will interfear in their affairs later or what ?
Sure it seems bigger than their capability to deal with such disaster,so they will let people die just like this?!

İ agree also with MrX67 if we have stronger UN countries would be more comfortable asking and receiving for its help

Never the less its outrages letting people die just like that
And for WHAT ?!!

Quoting janissary:

I cant open this webpage (youtube?), it s banned. that s why

İts about comparing the women's stiuation in the West and in the İslamic countries
Saying in France the country of freedom there are 2 million women are beaten very hard 'brutal beating as in the translation there' in the year
And france is protecting women there by law in every way,but still they are beaten
They are french women not arabian nor Muslims
So how about women in Arab countries ?
They saying women in the West know their rights not like women in Arab countries
And police protecting them in the West but police dont protect women in Arab countries
Other woman said there was a man was beating his wife and neighbours called her father which he came and called the police, then police said he cant break in to help the woman !

That is what it is mainly about
