I think of world in a different sense...for instance as being of the world, not having particularly spiritual values. A worldly man, man of the world....

1. Of, relating to, or devoted to the temporal world.
2. Experienced in human affairs; sophisticated or worldly-wise: "an experienced and worldly man who had been almost everywhere" Willa Cather.
adv.

worldly

Bir sebepten could that not also be translated as: as a pretext? pretext alludes to texture in as much as it is derivative from the word to weave.

What I like about using songs to learn a language is you hear how the words sound, and it's a lot more interesting.

Well,i dont know what would they prefer when using the term ''man of the world''
Would it be dünyanın adam,or alemin adam...
But here in the song she meant it not just with its physical meaning, but also spiritual one.

As for sebepten,
İt said,
Aşk dön ölümden
Bir sebepten
Gir dünyama

So,for a reason is the most suitable and logical meaning too
Love return from death for a reason, enter my world.

İ like learning from songs too,it was actually my first step in learning Türkçe
İt make the learing process not boring lol

We can get in any time and accomplish nothing. BE AWARE, we can bark!!! lol

Well,i dont know what do you mean by the term 'accomplish nothing'?!
İ mean, the way i see it,when a country across the borders to another country, that İS something BİG
And when a country says,we will do what we see it suitable to protect our borders ourselves, and wont be waiting for you to take over, and acually do it,that is also something BİG
And when saying NO,we wont be part of the game, and if you didnt protect our borders,we will do it ourselves, and just watch us.
That was a massage to many parts also.

So,actually i dont understand what did you expect them to ACCOMPLİSH more form such operation, which they said it wont be big one
Would they be accomplish something if they used that heavy bomb which use to destroye the mountains and kill the goods along with the bads?!
Would they be very brave if their hands were full of blood ?!
Note that they dont actually deal with an organized army, they deal with people who hide in mountains, and in villages too
Would they be such heros if they destroyed those villages to kill the bad guys ?!
Would they be ACCOMPLİSH something then and not bark ?!

Actually,im curious, what in your opinion they should do,so they ACCOMPLİSH something and not just bark ?!

Turkey just embarrassed itself and only showed those terrorists that the country is powerless against them.

Actually, its the other way arround !
From what i understand Türkiye has given a massage
''Be aware we can get in and get out when ever we want its like a picnic to us,so BETTER BE AWARE !''

İs this it ?

Çakmak Çakmak

İçimde bir kipirti var
Hayrola
Hop oturup hop kalkiyor bu gönül
Okuyor canima
Ne desen bos sigmiyor ki ele avuca
Diyor ki leyla kavustu mecnuna

Offf offff
Gafil avladi bu kez kahbe felek
Bir yolunu bulup oyunua getirdi yine tuzaklarina düsürdü bilerek

Offf offff
Her halinden apacik belli oda
Yere bakan yürek yakanlardan
Atesten gömlek

Yine basimda kavak yelleri
Aciyi sardi yarin alevleri
Deli yansada gönül aldirmiyor

Ama çakmak çakmak gözleri
Tam 12 den vurdu kalbimi
Olan oldu bu gönül
Ferman dinlemiyor

Bakili gülüsü pek hos
Agzindan bal akiyor
Onsuz hayat bos
Can katiyor canima

Içimde kelebekler
Uçusuyor
Yol aldim asiklar diyarina

Offf offff
Gafil avladi bu kez kahbe felek
Bir yolunu bulup oyunua getirdi yine tuzaklarina düsürdü bilerek

Offf offff
Her halinden apacik belli oda
Yere bakan yürek yakanlardan
Atesten gömlek

Way Back Into Love

I've been living with a shadow overhead
I've been sleeping with a cloud above my bed
I've been lonely for so long
Trapped in the past
I just can't seem to move on

I've been hiding all my hopes and dreams away
Just in case I ever need them again someday
I've been setting aside time
To clear a little space in the corners of my mind

All I want to do is find a way back into love
I can't make it through without a way back into love

I've been watching but the stars refuse to shine
I've been searching but I just don't see the signs
I know that it's out there
There's got to be something for my soul somewhere

I've been looking for someone to shed some light
Not somebody just to get me through the night
I could use some direction
And I'm open to your suggestions

All I want to do is find a way back into love
I can't make it through without a way back into love
And if I open my heart again
I guess I'm hoping you'll be there for me in the end

There are moments when I don't know if it's real
Or if anybody feels the way I feel
I need inspiration
Not just another negotiation

All I want to do is find a way back into love
I can't make it through without a way back into love
And if I open my heart to you
I'm hoping you'll show me what to do
And if you help me to start again
You know that I'll be there for you in the end

So one could also say enter my world? IOW to say enter my life is more of a poetic interpretation?

You see, this is why I'd really like to be able to read/understand Turkish. Actually the word aşk, from my understanding, does not simply mean love, but rather the state of love when the lovers are becoming inseparable. IOW one.

Actually im not that good in Turkish,im still learning tho
But what i can tell you that is the Turkish language is a very open and flexible language too
Playing with words to get different meanings is art,we call it Kenaya in arabic,i dont know what do they call it
İt depends on the meaning you want to deliver
But its like to say for example,
İ see the sun rays in your eyes
Means her eyes is shining and spreading warmth like the sun spreading its warmth through its rays

So its same in turkish too,you can use world,or life as you wish to deliver the meaning you want
World here in my opinion is more stronger, there is normaly one world we live in and contain many lives
So you can take it from that prospect, that she doesnt want him only in her life'hayat' but to serround her in her all world
So he be all her world which she live in.
So i guess using the word dünya here was more stronger than hayat

About aşk,yes i agree with you,it doesnt have equivalent meaning in english
İts more stronger than love
Same as aşık 'âşık' it doesnt just mean lover,it means someone who is in love and live through love too, breath it and be alive by it
İt also doesnt have equivalent to its exactly meaning in english...maybe madly in love is the closest one

Ps:guys if any correction pls feel free

Quoting Ayla:

.....kaç- is also the imperative of kaçmak- to escape
büyümden- büyü (spell, magic)+ m (my)+ den (from)= from my spell

Thank you Ayla,

How about dünyama?

dünya

1. the world, the earth.
2. the universe.
3. everyone, people.

and ma is a negative....so I would think that would mean no world, universe, people...but it doesn't....in reading the translation it says it means:

Gel gir dünyama - Come enter my life

Isn't life hayat? I would think that would mean my world...sort of...

dünyama means to my world
Dünya + m + a
(dünya) world + (m) is possessive pronoun of ben 'my' + (a) means to

Ma is negative that we use with verbs
but with nouns we use değil,so we cant actually use ma with dünya as negative

Gel gir dünyama should means enter to my world
But i guess sometimes you can use both words to same meaning
Your own world actually in a way or another is your life.
