that seems nice. probably my post was actually confusing

 Actually not it wasnt.

Ý understand the forms of kendi..

My question was when we use kendini, kendimizi...etc  alone and when do we add the kendi to it ?

Ayþe kendini dev aynasunda görüyor. Could it be kendi kendini here ?

Kendi kendini banyo yapmazsýn, daha çok küçüksün. could it be just kendini here ?

So it was very much helpful actually

When do we use only kendi, and when can we also use kendi kendine ?

Example,

Ayþe kendini dev aynasunda görüyor.

Kendi kendini banyo yapmazsýn, daha çok küçüksün.

Ý have been told that in the first its better to use kendi and in the second its better to use kendi kendini.

But actually i cant get why or how can i decide which to use.

Any help here is very much appreciated.

Canli, I´m so sad for you and your countrymen.  Who could do such a horrible thing?

We live in dangerous times...very. I really sympathize with you. You must feel so violated. Huggs canim.....please accept my inadequete expression of sympathy.

 Thank you Caným

Actually yes, things here didnt need this too

Ý mean, its hard time, economic crisis, people struggle with their living everyday, some even dont know if they will be able to earn their living for the next day or not, and they keep struggling

They struggle for themselves to live, then struggle again to establish a family, again not easy

Then struggle trying to provide good living to that family.

So life is not an easy task

Safety is/was never an issue to us.

So who would want to add such burden to the people ?!

Seeking what ?!

Ý dont get it

For a while yes, i felt violated, thought ´´ohh now no one would know what will happen i better watch out ´´

But you know, i refuse to carry that burden too.

Ý mean no one would violate my safety in my country !

It just came on the news here...I´ve been looking for it since seeing your post a few minutes ago. We live in violent and dangerous times. I pray for peace

I just missed the WTC towers, and had been there many times before. I lived with them in view from my windows since they were built  I lost friends in that incident. You just don´t know if you will be in a bad area or when. But...we always know that, don´t we?

You cant imagine how peaceful is this place

foreigner and Egyptians go there on regular bases, and we cant stop going there too

Ýts the heart of Cairo...old Cairo.

Ýts like when you want to have a good dinner with the smell of history, or have your tea inside history, you go there

Ýts like you are in a different time, old Cairo, old houses, old mosques, the aroma, its where the first Ýslamic Uni Al Azhar, and the mosque of El Hüseyin

Everything actually

So imagining you could have been there on that time and that happened ?!

Why, and for what ?

And why now too?!!!

People are suffering enough !

Then it´s not a good answer to the question.

Relevant questions and answers should be:

-Sultan Ahmet meydaný neresi?

-Sultan Ahmet meydaný burasý.

- Burasý neresi?

- Burasý Sultan Ahmet Meydaný.

-Sultan Ahmet Meydaný nerede?

- Sultan Ahmet Meydaný burada.

 Makes very much logic .

Ý always thought that Pimsleur is sucks at grammar.

And they keep prove me right ! {#lang_emotions_head_bang}

But mltm it was about location

Ýn the text,

He asked

Sultan Ahmet meydaný nerede?

The answer was

Sultan Ahmet meydaný burasý.

That means the one who answered already standing at Sultan Ahmet square ? or he is close to it and pointing at it ?

And if i say Sultan Ahmet meydaný burada

Would mean any difference about the distance ?

Quoting mltm

"Here" (bura) and "there" (ora) are like any other noun in turkish.

And same rules apply to them. They take the same noun suffixes; "case suffixes: -de, -e, -den, -i ...

Buraya gel.  --> Come here. In turkish "come to here" because with the verb "come", -e suffix is used.

Burada yaþýyorum. --> I live here. In turkish with the verb "yaþamak" (to live), -de suffix is used like in "Türkiye´de yaþýyorum".

Burayý çok seviyorum.---> I like here a lot. With "sevmek", accusative is used.

Though when with no suffix cases (like when "here" is the subject of the sentence", either "bura" or "burasý" is used. (most of the time "burasý")

Bura çok güzel. --> Here is very nice.

Burasý çok güzel.

And in "burasý", the -i suffix is the possessif suffix. Why possesif is used? Maybe this example can explain better:

- (Vücudunun) Neresi aðrýyor? Where is hurting? Which part of your body is hurting?

- Burasý aðrýyor. --> Here is hurting, but in fact "here of my body" though it´s cut and just "burasý" is used.

This is my try.

 Thanks mltm

Ý think this would help alote
