Because they have no choice. Either they are uneducated or have no chance for a job. In Turkey you stand no chance, jobless and homeless. There is no sufficient social security provided by the government. What will they do? The choice between a warm and safe house or an unsure future is easily made.

I wonder what the chance is that a Turkish man would consider to marry a divorced woman, or how society looks upon her. That could be an important reason too.

Note however, that these situations showly are changing. The women get good university education too and they will be able to be financially independent. And the ideas on divorce will change too. I bet they have already changed from 50 years ago.

I'd say feta cheese is a no-no though, when you are really on a diet. I make my salad the same way you do too (and with red onions), but if I were dieting the first thing that would go out of the salad would be the cheese.

ANyway maybe good to start with it, so that you will enjoy your salads more and will be able to keep up your diet.

I think the message you posted is of a bombing earlier this year FF

The Turkish newspapers state it happened in Buca, two bombings several hours several meters apart from each other.

Beautiful. I have just started learning Osmanlıca, but so far we only cover 'new Osmanlıca'. I hope in the future I will be able to understand such texts too, which actually is what I am aiming for taking this course!

I think this is a bit harsh. I agree with the 'general thought of TC' about the naive posts, but I do see a difference between a marriage with a daughter, and some 'I love you bebeğim, sen benim herşeyimsin' messages after some sex on the beach.
