Quoting mephistopheles

Unutma!
Yüreğinde bir ismin imzası var ve sen onu silemezsin
Söküp atamazsın ne kadar uğraşsanda,
Seninle beraber büyür içindeki sızı
İlk önce onu hissedersin başkasına dokunduğunda
Unutma!
Bir kere sevdin mi uzun uzun yanarsın...
Sitemler... Öfkeler... Birikiren içinde sen azalırsın
Dilinde küfür elinde kadeh eksik olmaz..
Günler böyle geçer alışırsın
Unutma!
Sabahlar artık gecikir.İster sağa dön ister sola...
Gözüne uyku değil gidenin hayali gelir.
Kendini şiirlere verirsin...
Elin sigaraya gider her on dakikada bir fena zehirlenirsin..
Unutma!
Bir süre güvenmeyeceksin kimseye kendine sığınacaksın..
Aşk Konuşulduğunda sen susacaksın..
Of larla Ah larla başlayacaksın her cümleye..
Çevrende senden başka herkes haksız olacak,
Senin haklılığında çaresiz gidecek çöpe..
Unutma!
Birgün kaldığın yerden başlayacaksın biri seni bulacak..
Önce korkacaksın eski acılara yakalanmaktan biraz ürkeceksin
Ne kadar dirensende nafile insansın sonuçda seveceksin...
Eski acılara bakıpda küsme sevdalara..
Gavura kızıpda oruç bozulmaz
Sök at kafandan acabaları!
Bir kemik aynı yerden iki defa kırılmaz..
Artık kararmaz gecelerin..
Bir daha yaşlar akmaz gözünden..
Sabahların gecikmez.Kim bilir ağladığın günlere gülersin
Unutma!
Bir defa öldün ya zamanında ?
Bir daha ölmezsin...

Don’t Forget!

You have a signature of a name on your hearth, and you cannot erase it

You cannot scratch it all away even  though how hard you try

The pain inside grows with you together

Then,  You feel it when you touch someone else

Don’t forget !

Once you love, you suffer a lot

Complaints, anger.. As they grows inside, your own self dies

You have always curse on your mouth, a chalice in your hand

Days goes by that way, You get used to it

Don’t forget !

The mornings are late from now on.  You cannot help thinking about it

You dream of not sleeping but the one who is gone

You dedicate  yourself to poems

You smoke each ten minutes and get poison badly

Don’t forget!

You will not trust anyone for awhile,  You will depend on yourself again

You will stay quiet when love is spoken around you

You will start each of your sentences with sighing

Everyone around you will be wrong but you

But what you think is true will go to garbage, desperately

Don’t forget!

Someday, You will start from where you were and Someone will find you

You will be afraid of experiencing the same pain in the past at first. Then, you will be afraid little bit.

How hard you resist will be for free. You are a human. You will love…

Do not be afraid of new love thinking of your old pains

Don´t cut off your nose to spite your face

Eliminate your doubts from your mind

A bone cannot be broken twice from the same place

Your nights will not be pitch dark

The teardrops will not flow from your eyes again

Your mornings will not be too late anymore

And who knows? Maybe, you laugh at the days you cried

Don’t forget!

You have died once,

You will not die again.

My try

mephistopheles

First of all you are welcome!!

I might be wrong, I am sure there are some poems of Can Yucel I have yet to read but I can not find anything about this poem on the net if it is from Can Yucel or not..

Somehow it does not give me the same taste.

Are you sure it is from Can Yucel?

Earlier you said:

So, what happened to the Christian grave yard in Trabzon? Municipal government demolished all of them with a bulldozer in a night. There have been many incident like this  happened and still happening in Turkey

And I said, it should be legal action if it´s done by a municipality. It happened in my village.

If you have details that it was an illegal action, you can share it here.

It was not me saying that.. I just translated what a Turkish person commented into the article.

And that incident is just a simple and single incident!!

I dont think it is important if it is illegal or legal..

It wont change the generic perspective of the whole point or the moral of the story :

"we should look at ourselves first and have some kind knowledge about WHAT HAPPENED and what is happening and then, try to criticise the  xenophobia of others!"

Why should I be joking?

This is about attcaking tombstones I have also provided another link for attacks on tombstones in Christian graveyards.

You´re talking about something else.

If a municipality decides to destroy a graveyard it´s (or should be) a legal action. I´m sure they wouldn´t do it without justifying their decision legally. It can be a Muslim or Christian graveyard or whatever.

I was talking about ´countless´ incidents happening in Turkey even today  against non-muslims.

How come some idiotic christians are attacking  muslims tombstones and destroying them are more different than the incidents dome by some idiotic muslims against non-muslims?

eeeeeeeee. Let him scream as much as he wants. {#emotions_dlg.lol_fast} You are in Ireland, you are allowed to have a screaming child. {#emotions_dlg.whistle}  Nobody pays attention nyway.

Kids are a blessing. Although thank God I say to myself {#emotions_dlg.rolleyes} that mine are bigger. I still love babies.

I completely agree with that!!

I think kids are giving us one thing which no one can give: The chance to love someone unconditionally , knowing that  no circumstances can change it and you dont worry if he/she leaves you or does not love you back..

What´s it got to do with attcking tombstones?

There was a grave yard in the memories of my childhood in the middle of the village where I was born. The vilage developed and  turned into a coastal town. The graveyard was in the town center now.

The municipality has decided to use it for other purpose. Now there are a health clinic, the municipality building, a meeting place, cafeterias and a beautiful park on it.

It was a Muslim graveyard by the way.

You got to be joking!! Right?

The links were  about burning, blasting churches, removing Christian graveyards, removing people and their traces etc.

can you not see the connection and similarity and the similar hatred of others in both incident? (of course ignoring the argument that they might have been just drunken teenagers!)

I mean, seriously?

I think it is only some Turkish people´s logic work such as way like ´Turks dont do such things/never did/will never do. But Christians do´.

And the most important and depressing thing is that they think ´that logic is very normal´ and others must think the same..  {#emotions_dlg.confused}

Anladim ki - Leman Sam

Dün gece hiç tanimadigim bir erkege

Sirf sana benziyor diye usulca sokulup merhaba dedim

Dün gece hiç tanimadigim bir erkege

Sirf sana benziyor diye usulca sokulup merhaba dedim

Tanidik bir huzur aradim saskin bakislarinda dün

Bildik bir söz bekledim eskiden kalma öylesine

Konustu bir seyler söyledi bekledigim sözler bunlar degil

Yüzüme bakti gözlerime ama senin gibi degil

Anladim ki hiç kimse hiç kimse sen degil

Hiç kimse senin gibi canimdan öte can degil

Anladim ki hiç kimse hiç kimse sen degil

Hiç kimse senin kadar fikrime huzur degil

Anladim ki hiç kimse hiç kimse sen degil

Hiç kimse senin kadar umuduma yol degil

=====

I Realised

I quietly approached to a man and said hello last night

Only because, he had a resemblance to you

I quitely approached to a man and said hello last night

Only because, he had a resemblance to you

I sought for a familiar calmness in his puzzled eyes (yesterday)

I waited for a few words I would know from old days

He spoke; said something; but not the words I expected

He looked at my face, at my eyes, but not like the way you would

Then I realised, no one but  no one compares to you

Nobody can be a life beyond my own, like you would be

Then I realised, no one but no one compares to you

Nobody can be the comfort for my mind, like you would be

Then I realised, no one but no one compares to you

Nobody can be a path for my hopes, like you would be

My try
