Look, there's nothing wrong with calling someone 'aşkım' etc. People in love all do. But there is a difference between saying it once, twice, trying to show it and actually MEAN it, and just typing it as a habit in every text, and after declaring their undying love to their canımşekerimbebeğim ask for money and a visa.

You have to learn to draw a line. Its no problem if he works in a bar, the question is: is he planning on doing it for the rest of his life, has he got social secure plans for his money, is he just treating YOU this way or all the girls he serves a cocktail?

he lost his job before, and this is the only job he can have now. for now, he is saving money so i can come there (according to him) and he don't want me to spend. and he says he wears, in his left hand, a ring in his finger ( you probably guessed where... ) so that girls don't try to hit on him at the bar. soooo... where is my situation at? what do you think guys?

Something I always notice that seems to be missing from translations is humour and friendship.

Part of love is LIKING eachother - having fun, talking for hours, finding out things about eachother, teasing eachother, laughing.....

If I only received numerous "seni seviyorum askim" messages I would go crazy!

EXACTLY!

I really do believe a love cant survive if it doesnt have a strong base of friendship in it. And friendship consists of so much more than just saying I love you and having sex.

The parts that distinguish a love-relatinship from a friendship are ofcourse very important, but you need to have both in order to make it work.
