Strange, the things we remember...

When in fifth grade I liked a girl named

Catherine. She had red hair and pretty freckles.

One day after school she was being teased

about those freckles by a group of boy & girls.

I wanted to come to her aid - I felt badly for not

doing so.

For a second I watched from a distance, then I  left.

Memories - they really are strange aren´t they?

I should have stood up for you Catherine...

This is for you...

FRECKLES

I touch them in the morning.

I see them in the daylight.

In the full of the moon they glimmer.

They shine in the darkest of nights.

Your freckles love.

They speak with tender urgent longing.

Pain, joy, laughter, fears, tears.

Your precious dots are subtle reflections.

Each one a personality

Each one an intrigue.

I touch one, then another, then,

Another...

Each one a mystery.

They speak truths.

I love your freckles.

I would be here with you

A thousand years if I could

But just taste one at a time.

A touch of my tongue

From top to bottom - front and back.

One at a time - my vanguard.

Odd.

Freckles are unsightly to most.

Freckles are unwanted by all.

‘Why must I have them?’ I hear.

Freckles have feelings, they show emotion.

Touch them as I do, see them as I do.

You’ll fall in love.

‘Shhh‘, they say to me.

‘She loves you’, they confess.

Gently they utter their feelings.

I receive secrets from them love.

They speak of your esoteric passion.

I feel their heat, their beating.....longing.

I love them...

Your freckles are beautiful.

They radiate melodies.

They gyrate and show me portraits.

They expose their colors to me.

I see them naked.

Their pinks, reds, browns, blues...their muse.

Each freckle a color, each color a story, a feeling.

Your freckles have eyes.

Their characters have ribbons in them.

Their aura stimulates me.

Sweet. Senuous...salty...Erotic

I love your freckles love.

As you age, you’ll win more.

I can hardly wait...

A thousand years to to adore...

This is the last poem I enter classmates.

My wish is to not complicate things

by being here.

Passions may change as life flows. But there is

always one passion that is rooted deep

inside of each of us.

You know what it is.

Use it to write, paint, play, create.

Use it to breathe...

It’s a gift that each of us have been

given. Find it , and you will discover

that it may take you to unbelievable sights.......

Thank you for allowing me to share

my thoughts…

Why should it be your last poem eiddie?  Cenk has explained that this thread is for all poets.  It´s nice to see the mix of different contributions.  Cenk and yourself add a little culture all of your own.  You both have a great talent, that shouldn´t be hidden.

I sincerely hope that wasn´t your last poem.  Have you ever thought of publishing? You should.

How about a poem about Peter and Gordon ?  Or at least the music of your youth?  I know that would involve casting your mind back a very long way, but I´m sure you have a good memory {#lang_emotions_lol_fast}

I wrote ‘The Land of the Cat’ while Catwoman was gone.

There is a tremendous amount of work involved in running

this site, much like running an Engineering Company.

Keep in mind classmates, I do not know a thing about her.

Before this, I’ve never had discourse with her about

anything or anyone. I’ve never gone to her at all and

I probably never will ……..but…

I sincerely admire people with vision and a fearless spirit.

One can certainly appreciate entrepreneurship in those

sequined few that compel things to happen, and make

things shine.

I felt she was owed something from me anyway.

This is for her…….and us.....

THE LAND OF THE CAT…….

A distant message from a lurid time ?

A nocturnal overseer using virulent rhyme ?

A friend once said, ‘integrity never deceives’, so

Who is this Mistress, who is usually bright and spunky.

Also learned, rarely condescending, yet speaks frankly?

She’s quick to differ, sometimes dicey, yet offers much.

Our Cat gives lectures without a solitary touch.

Many of you know her well, most know her not.

She claims “I’m honest, apt, opined, and extremely fair”.

But some staunchly erudite in TC say “au contraire”!

Still in all, despite her peeves, dear class we must agree.

She is not evil, indolent, spiteful and ne’er batty,

No photo of her yet, though I think she’s artful.

Not to waste her efforts, words, hard work and sweat.

Or your time might well be spent in mindless bare neglect.

The Cat has followers - some with good sense some with bad.

She’ll make you think or laugh and may even get you mad.

Mind you friends, I know her not – wrote to her ne’er

So as for me, dear classmates, I beg to differ.

Anger comes strictly from within so please don’t bicker.

She has favorites, replete in sycophants and enemies.

But don’t we all have foes, and pockets full of buddies?

She’s really quite harmless dears and all.

By threatening some and scurrying others indiscreetly.

Beware classmates, for some she’ll even say “I’LL PRESS DELETE! “

She’s quick to answer, offer, seek out and repair

A spite, bad call or simply something quite unfair.

Her subtle nuances expose her innate ways, still….

Cat is lofty, sometimes amusing, at times a little enervating.

One never knows which one of you she may be detonating!

We have quite a scattering of fish in our TC aquarium

A motley crew indeed and the focus of this short centrum

Gratefully, some are emphatically bright I joyfully declare…

We’ve Trudy, calip, Elisabeth, Ddreamer, porto, and liberated Libralady.

Topped with Deli_kizin, Geniuda, sonunda, Canli and dear sophie.

The guys include more subtle and some sensible souls.

They are a good bunch really, so to them I shall extol.

Keep in mind I know not many here in class but still….

There’s thehandsom one who seems to be a fav of all.

Clever musicman SuiGeneris, the one who’s songs enthrall.

The dearly departed include the aenigmatic wonder

Twice told tales on her and feme_fatal for they’ve become asunder.

One even changed her name to aenigmamagdawhatthethunder?

Contributing marvels I will call MarioninT and stately Roswitha.

Also witty peacetrain, teaschip and the zealous alameda.

Summa cum laude patriots in all, undividedly include:

Ayla, Slavica, Mrx67, erdinc, my dear Seker I shan’t preclude.

With regret, some have left, I’ve left some out, still we have

Keith, kurtlovesgrunge, ctrix, mltm, ladyn’red and fearless leader bod.

All those above and more my dear Cat, indeed we must applaud.

Your faithful banter including men is kindly taken.

A good decree, for some have genuinely been mistaken.

A happy memory for many I am sure, for, my dear lady

We are fathers, husbands, brothers, granddads, uncles even sons.

All of which contribute to succeeding generations.

Like women, men have faults but own no paper hearts.

We’ve ambitions, feelings, but all too soon we build ramparts.

Perhaps because we quickly shoulder blame for any failures, so…..

I shan’t waste my time on that Webmaster friend of mine…..

For, like women, men are kind, politely cool and bright, so I’ll streamline……

Be it Turkish, British, American, Asian, Latin, Arab or Dutch.

We’re all in this together, like it none or like it much.

Our differences, likes, dislikes and habits my dear Cat

All contribute to who we are and how we live dear friend

So aspirations, passions, hopes and dreams dutifully transcend.

Remember class, with courage, laughter, love, a little pain

Cat is really somewhat cool and quite innocuous - so once again,

I’ll ask the obvious…

Who is this stealthy mistress both bright and spunky,

Also learned, active, and fills space quite brightly?

It’s none other than our very own ‘MEOW’.

To the Cat, I chant  “Cheers my Felis Catus” with raised brows!

“Do not chase rats or mice or even ghosts Acquaint of Mine….!

Above that you are Catwoman, so dear today I’ll say…..

Thank you most kindly - for inviting us to your bright chalet…..

Purrrrrrr…..You are a Titan canim……

A good memory I do not have peacetrain.....but when I give a listen to " I Go to Pieces"

it does wonders for my recollection.....I´ve loved that song forever.....

( yes, that is a long time ).

Remember peacetrain....."they really are strange....our memories" .....

You´re very kind ... I´m taken by your thoughts...and wish the best for all of us.

Thank you as well teaschip... I had fun with ´Land of the Cat´ for our catwoman...

I am glad you liked it.......even the cat liked it.....

Bilirim

Ýçimdeki yangýnlar yüzüme vurmuþ sanki,
Bilirmisin ne karlar erittim kalbimde?
Ne fýrtýnalar koptu da batmadým,
Ne yaðmurlar yaðdý boðulmadým.

Rüyalar gördüm bazen aðlamaklý yalnýzlýðýmý paylaþan
Uyandým sen vardýn karþýmda ellerimi tutan
Kaldýrýmlar eþlik etti bazen adýmlarýma
Bazen de martýlar yol gösterdi bedenime senle dolup taþan

Uykusuz gecelerde gülüþlerimizi
Anlattýðým hikayeleri sabýrla dinlemeni hatýrlarým,
Bilirim ki mutluyum, bilirim ki seninleyim
Bundan baþka daha ne isterim?
