Another sentence from your repetitive repertoire.
If I´m embarrassing myself, that´s ok by me.
Here´s another of your quotes
"This is not somewhere I choose to spend time anymore...."

Hmmm so you don´t want to talk about this subject anymore?
Aenigma, I gave details of a personal experience of how Muslims at my school join in with charitable fundraising in my school, throughout the year. From there, you went on your own personal crusade and Canli clarified aspects of Zakat and Sadaqa as a response.
If you bemoan the fact that Muslims don´t do enough goodwill acts then I might post an example I have seen in the news (yes . . . there´s not enough reporting about them . . . it doesn´t sell newspapers) or I might give you a personal experience of mine. Anything further than that, I am not prepared to discuss and I don´t care about your view of me or your accusations about me because it doesn´t alter anything in my life.
Of course I´m huffing and puffing, it comes to us all here from time to time and I don´t mind admitting it.
So. . . no, I don´t wish to talk about the subject anymore and something tells me I´m an idiot for even replying to you now.
So, having established that I´m fed up with this and your pleased about it, perhaps we can let it die a death (once you´ve responded).
"Phew!" (I always wanted to say this)

Canli thank you for you very patient answer Actually (of course) what you say is almost completely right. May I just correct you on one point about your religion? You made the comment that only muslims are allowed to receive Zakah. In fact, you are allowed to give non-musilms Zakah in an emergency, where the matter is life or death. However, the culture remains "we don´t give money to non-muslims, only our Islam family", as Alameda was happy to declare!
Despite Peacetrain´s concerns that I am trying to attack Islam, I am actually not. I am just amazed at how little many muslims (even fervent converted ones!) know about their own religion! It is a shame that so many take on the antiquated practises of other cultures and think it is part of Islam. I can understand why men would want to keep the status quo, but I do wonder about the women! For example, ask any Professor of Islamic Studies what the meaning of obeying your husband is and they will reply that it is symbolic and not relevent to modern times. It is only of significance in prayer. However, ask many muslim men of its meaning, and you will get a completely different answer
Even dear Peacetrain had to wait until she received the comfort of your back-up before replying - mostly with just psychological assumptions about me Anyway she will need to calm down after all her huffing and puffing ...
Actually, Zakah is a very sensitive issue to us, thats why you find people tend to the safer side.
You already can give Sadakah and will be rewarded by it too, so why putting yourself into doubts ?
That is how many of us think, unless in times when you want to give the money to spesific place or person, and your Zakah money is a large sum or something, so you start asking if i gave it to that place or that person will it be considered Zakah ?
à also would partly agree with you on that, they are not many muslims, but still they are sum, and at same time its something not special to muslims only, you would find it same with others too.
Ãn here Christians are same as muslims too in many cases although it has nothing to do with Christianity.

they are copies of mohammad. they love mohammad so much that they are acting exactly like him.
Well, i wish if they were !
For example, he was helping his wives at houseworks, he has confident in his wife and consulted/share her even war plans where he didnt share with his friends
He didnt take his wife´s money and her money belonged only to her
And so many examples actually.
When men read about them they say nooo, its a weak hadith not strong one, and they refuse to believe or i may say accept.
à remember when women were having some debat about houseworks and how its their duties as same as its men´s duty and not a favor, and after publishing the things about housework and Rasul SAV in Hawa´a magazine ´Ev´ an Ãmam woman said it and some Ãmams ´men´ assured it.
Men were against it and said its just going with the feminist wave that the country having it.
Ãf they help in housework, they are doing women a favor not actually doing something they should do !
So, nooo, they are NOT acting exactly like him..i wish they were !
