Can anyone advice me what to do? My tourist visa application was denied this January 2009 the day i filed my application, i was lacked of documents, I did  not show any bank statement. I was surprised I was denied at once, I thought they will just tell me to come back and bring the bank statement but they denied it immediately.

My friend who sent me the invitation letter asked his friend to call the Turkish consulate here in the Phils. but he said to the consul that I will not come back because I will take care of my friend´s baby who is more than a year old. {#lang_emotions_head_bang}So please tell me what will I do next to get my tourist visa? {#lang_emotions_cry}

 Hi,

Sad to hear this.  But can i ask you? Did you inquire first the requirements prior to filing of your visa application?  If ever, you should bring all the documents they required because they don´t want to process any application with incomplete attachments therein.

I think you have to wait for another six (6) months for applying the tourist visa.

first your friend need to find more clever friends why to tell consulate you ll take care of baby, huh...

secondly,as i know moldovan babysitters, just jump on the plane and buy tourist visa at the border. than stay in country a few year, pay the penalty of their staying longer than visa, and goes to their country.

i dont know, if you can certainly can get visa at the border or not...

Assuming it is a tourist visa to the UK and some (if not all), European countries no you cannot, they will need a visa.

You do not need a  pre-approved Visa to enter Turkey, you can purchase one at the Airport for up to 6 months?  However I will check with your country and see if they require you to have an exit Visa, that may be the problem?   Check the website for UK embassy in your country and it will list exactly what the Visa requirements are.   I also suggest applying online, it goes faster.  Good Luck

I went at Turkish Embassy Manila this January, i brought my passport, my invitation letter, id´s, the girl asked me who will shoulder the expenses, i said my friends in Turkey who is a couple. The girl said I am lucky, Then she asked me if I have a bank statement, I said I did not bring any and said that the couple will shoulder all the expenses, infact they have sent me money $3400 USD, but I wasn´t able to bring the western union receipt. Then she asked me to wait for a while, then after 20 minutes, she told me to apply again, never said anything besides that words.... funny isn´t it?

She didn´t even give me a chance to ask why I was denied,the girl just turned her back. Then my friend called the consul and told her that it was a bank statement that made me rejected. So I told my friend, let us issue a bank statement if that was the problem. Then my friend has a I think powerful friend in Istanbul and she asked him to call the consul here. But what happened was all  screwed up. The more that friend wants to help and talk to the consul, he slipped his tongue and told the consul that please give me a visa so I can take care of my friend´s child...

So that is my story, do you think I can still apply in Cebu?

in turkey theres no visit visa only tourist visa.. but in other country there is coz tourist visa you have one month to stay and even if you dont have friend or relative you can go there  as long as you have money to carrie your self, visit visa is visiting your relative, friends husband to be.. you can stay up 3 to 6 months...

Hi all,

I´ve been to Turkey in 2000 as a tourist for 5 days but I applied for the visa in Israel as I used to live there. What are the chances of getting a tourist visa approved this time from the Philippines? This trip is a sponsored one so I have invitation letter, tickets, accomodation, and certification from the university here that I am a student. Sheesh, this is nerve wrecking as I´ve never had to apply for a visa from the Philippines. I´m scheduled to go to the embassy on Thursday, flight is on the 22nd this month.

I´m going to Izmir by the way. Anyone have any useful tips on what to say and what not to say during embassy interview? I´d appreciate any advice.

Cheers!
