Hi!

Could you help me conjugate the following nouns in Turkish? (my, your, his, our, your, their)

ağaç, şemsiye, göz, soru, top, kalem, cami, bilgisayar

P.S.: Do I have to learn the noun conjugation for each and every noun?

Hi,

If you search the words "possessive pronouns" in the box top right of this page, you will see there are already many pages on this subject.

My experience is that you learn best when you do the work yourself

It´s not too hard. You just need to know:

- the possesive endings

- consonatant mutation

- a few excpetions

For consonant mutation,

kitap - book

kitabım - my book

When you study this, it´s hard to remember. But if you say it or hear it, it´s easier. What you rather say 5 times quickly - kitapım or kitabım? Same thing with çocuk. Çocuğum is easier to say quickly than çocukum.

Here´s a post on a few nouns that have exceptions:

One more. Although it´s not correct, in conversation or chatting, the possessive suffix is often omitted. But certain words you can´t.

P.S. = No you dont have to if you dont write any formal document in Turkish, you will be surprised how people understand you so easy in spoken Turkish
