You took all the further questions from my hands. Just a small note:

Quote:scalpel

Köpek (onu) çizmeden önce kapıyı boyuyordu.

Use not the pronoun but noun always close to the predicate..and without onu the sentence sounds better+

So many times I have been wondering this: can the pronoun refer to the right in the sentence? These problems occur when you change the word order into Turkish. Now there is a rule to follow.

Every learner who has tried translating into the language she is learning knows that behind every choice there is a small story. One of the stories of this sentence is about choosing the right word for ´scratching´. It was a success.

The small victory of this week is understanding tenses and progressive forms a little bit better.

I tried a poem this time. Just an old song, no high culture. The things I thought about the most were about general reference of nouns. I tried to follow two principals: the model of Gülü seven diketine katlanır and the normal ruling of suspended affixation. If there was a certain model in my mistakes I´d be glad even to edit the text further myself, given some hints.

If you love

If you love the cold moon
items, book covers
car doors, the shell of human
I won´t come to the seaside with you
and I won´t draw your picture in the sand.

If you love windows
silver pints, sable furs
a guest book with a leather back
I´ll smile at you from across the street
but I won´t go to a fancy place with you
to eat goose breast.

If you love sailing
travels to faraway lands, the Canary Islands
you´ll go away and I´ll stay here
And I will reminisce you without missing
the morning when the wind blew
in my hair and took away the picture of you.

If you love banknotes
I´ll help you to get rid of them
and I´ll give you everything you want
But I won´t give you my heart.

If you love books too much
I´ll ask you what will happen to me
when you know me from cover to cover
and my storylines won´t interest you anymore
and you´ll know everything by heart.

If you love little girls
little girls, little boys
dogs, grannies, spinsters
salad and celery root
roast mutton, spring mornings
lonely men at cold stations
I´ll come to the seaside with you
And I´ll draw, I´ll draw your picture in the sand.

Seversen

Soğuk ay,
eşya, kitap kapağı,
araba kapısı, insanın zahirini seversen,
seninle deniz kıyısına gelip
resmini kuma çizmeyeceğim.

Pencere,
gümüş kupa, samur kürkü,
deri sırtlı konuk defterini seversen,
sokağın karşısına gülümseyip de
seninle hayal bir yere kaz göğsü yemeye
gitmeyeceğim.

Denize açılma,
uzak ülkeye yolculuk, Kanarya adalarını seversen,
sen git burada kalacağım
ve seni
rüzgarın saçlarımda esip resmini götürdüğü sabahı özlemeden
hatırlarım.

Papeli seversen
sana ondan kurtulmaya yardım edip
her istediğin şeyi vereceğim,
yüreğimi değil.

Kitabı çok seversen
beni başından sonuna kadar bildiğin
hikayem ilgisini artık çıkmadığı
her şeyi ezberden okurduğun gün
sana
ne olacağımı soracağım.

Küçük kız, küçük çocuk,
köpek, büyükanne, yaşlı kızlar,
salatayla kereviz
koyun kızartma, ilkbahar sabahını,
soğuk istasyonlardaki yalnız adamlar seversen,
seninle deniz kıyısına
geleceğim ya
ve kuma resmini çizeceğim,
resmini
kuma çizeceğim.

May I ask why the accusative -i is added to the last noun but not to the others?

Because after giving it a long thought that´s the conclusion I came into. And I still can´t see what is wrong with it.

I mean I thought when there is a list of nouns with the same endings you can or even had better save them to the end...

My voice is getting smaller and smaller.

I think case endings should be on each noun...

I was just looking for the rule from a book. Did you see through the screen?

Are you serious, should I repeat the accusative in every noun of the list? And the same thing with plural -ler? Lerlerlerlerlerlerlerler.

Seversen (Seviyorsan)

Soğuk ayı,
eşyaları, kitap kapaklarını,
araba kapılarını, insanın zahirini görüntüsünü seversen seviyorsan,
seninle deniz kıyısına gelip
resmini kuma çizmeyeceğim.

Pencereleri,
gümüş kupaları, samur kürkleri,
deri sırtlı konuk defterini seversen seviyorsan,
sokağın karşısından gülümseyecekip de
fakat seninle hayali bir yere kaz göğsü yemeye
gitmeyeceğim.

1. Why aorist? Why seversen but not seviyorsan?

2. When there is a conjunction such as ama, fakat, lakin, ancak -ip suffix is weird to use.. in this type of sentences it is good to use the same tense with each verb, I should think..
