2. When there is a conjunction such as ama, fakat, lakin, ancak -ip suffix is weird to use.. in this type of sentences it is good to use the same tense with each verb, I should think..

It´s almost impossible for a learner to see behind the style of a native speaker. I can understand the motivation of repeated elements in a speech like this: stressing, convincing. underlining, constrasting things. But I would have probably interpreted it as situational variation rather than exemplary use of language.

Following your advice, scalpel  -  that´s what I am trying to do even though I ask a lot  -  until now I have worked on saying things as short and simple as possible. This lesson seems to be taking me to another direction. I need to orientate myself over again.

Here is another urban tale.. They tell you that you should drop pronouns most of times but they cannot explain why the pronouns are the most used Turkish words.. 

You can´t say "sen git, burada kalacağım" 

The subject is sen (sg2nd).. and the predicate kalacağım (sg1st).. 

..and a question: Why did you omit only ben but not both sen and ben? What made you think that using sen would make it sound better? 

* Use the same tense when possible=> kalırım-hatırlarım / kalacağım- hatırlayacağım

I wrote about these statistics in the Pronouns thread wondering the same thing. ben is as usual in Turkish as I is in English. I´m sorry I often compare to Finnish but it´s interesting because it is an agglutinative language also with a complicated system of verb conjugation: in Finnish minä ´ben´ is not among the most usual words at least in written language. It seems that we trust our verbal suffixation more than Turkish speakers.

It´s a mystery.
