In my opinion everyone who wishes to go can go. And come back also. After all, we are all doing this for ourselves.

leke çıkmaz NEG AOR SG3RD ´The stain does not go away, disappear.´

It is a verb.

...

> çıkmaz leke NEG AOR PART ´indelible stain, the stain that does not go away´

It is an adjective.

...

> çıkmaz sokak NEG AOR PART ´dead-end street´

It is an adjective but the meaning has changed into impersonal: no one can get out of that street. (Turkish ergativity shows here.)

...

> çıkmaz NOM ´quicksand, blind alley, quagmire, dilemma´ and many other things which all mean something that it is difficult to get out of

And finally, it is a noun. Makes me smile.

...

Thank you, tunci. I wonder why it is so difficult: this was the alternative that seemed the least probable to me.

Old distributives have disappeared from many languages but in Turkish you see it now and then.

These are sometimes hard to understand.

                          Birincilere beşer yüz lira dağıtılır.

´the first five´ or ´five hundred´?

Or maybe ´one hundred given to each group of five´?

If someone asks we, Turks in disapora,  "if I know how to live with Brits/Grmans etc", my answer would be, ´NO and what are you going to do about it?"

"When in Rome do as the Romans do" is a saying very much quoted but not necessarily right.

is that why they went bankrupt just a few years ago?

Norway ranks as the second wealthiest country in the world. The economical growth was strong until 2007 but in the last part of 2008 the worldwide financial crisis had its effect on Norwegian economy also. The set-back was short though thanks to quick economic resurgence. Norway has survived the crisis better than European countries in average. Since 2008 the growth of GNP has continued and it is expected to be around 3 per cent in 2013.

You are some kind of geography teacher also.

I`m sure there are also many unemployed teachers in Norway.

Nope. Norway´s unemployment rate is less than three per cent which means nothing. Norway is something else.
