As a teenager I have been into those a lot too. I stepped aside from it, for several reasons. To sum up a long story short: Fırst I got very afraid of the dead people and wasnt able to get a simple night rest and after a while I simply stopped believing and I felt it brought me further away from 'normal life', the thing that is 'closest' to us 'normal people'. Im sure you are not like this İnçişka, but many people I know who are interested in those or claim to have such powers, have these strange spiritual lifestyles about 'how to find your innerpeace', 'how to use your energy levels to the maximum' etc. My answers to these are simple: combine things you have to with things you like, eat healthy and get enough sleep No need for these spiritual innerself kind of bullshit. It is not that this is directly linked to the abilities you speak of, but the image most people have of it, is because of people I described as above. You may call it prejudice, but of all the people I know in the spiritual world (and they are quite a lot since I was relaly into it a coupke of years ago), there is just one person who is 'normal'.
It is my very best friend, soulmate Id say whom I know since we were both just little, is very into those and is personally also very sensitive on certain subjects. He senses things and though his 'abilities' are not that developed as of some other people, he goes to them for advice and help etc. Actually it was just 2 days ago I received an email from him telling how some things had come true.
It's not that I dont believe at all. Like DD I highly doubt if theres ancestors talking to us, and believe there are quite some logical and medical reasons to many experiences. On the other hand, I know enough people who are 'sane' yet 'sensitive'. You often hear you have to be 'open' for it in order to receive such abilities or develop them. I'm open to it for others,I believe there is a possibility such a phenomenon existsi, but want to distantiate myself from it. Because I believe we don't see dead people because we are not supposed to.
