What does this text mean?

karsta benim calistigim yerin ismi ani

It says something about Kars and Ani, but what exactly? Is it about a church?

Tesekkurler.

The name of the place that I work(ed) in Kars, is Ani.

Instead of peas, what can be used? Kadir and I love peas, but his housemate doesnt. I usually take some aside before I add the peas, but its a bit boring (I do add carrot and potato though). I dont know what else would go nice in its place except fasulye, but then I need to cook it again next to it falan..

Which Turkish radiostation plays both all the new songs and the Turkish 'golden oldies' ?

Im waking up with Powerturk lately, but they only play the same bad songs over and over again, and they have reklam tooooo often.

Can somebody tell me a good radio station? Thanks in advance

I will never leave you, you are mine till death, İ will kill you (because) I wont leave you to anybody else my love!

(yani, i will kill you sounds rather harsh, but he just means to say he'd rather see you dead than with someone else If you cant be his, then you cant be anyones )

-- The first word should be Asla.. right? İf its Aslı, its a girls name

I totally agree with you Alameda.

I have also read some of Yaşar Kemals books, and he has become one of my favourite writers. His sentenes just flow like creamy milk. He has a perfect description of scenery and a deep feeling for the details around him. Especially the thrilogy of Gök demir yer bakır (I cant remember well in turkish as I read them in Dutch translation) caught my heart and İnce Mehmet was a masterpiece too. Unfortunately I havent been able to read all of the last one, as in Dutch libary I could only find the first one.

Yoksa...?

Thanks Keith, I actually wouldn't have covered the pot things that are obvious to everyone else when cooking are not obvious to me. Thats why I love this forum page.

I think we would be disastrous together in the kitchen. Im that way too

Kadir has an early morning class after he comes from Ankara, Im wondering if I shall make him something special for breakfast and bring to his school.. or just stay out of the kitchen for a better well-being
