yes, it's exaclty the reason because our salary is in liras. and it's just the other way for you, now Türkiye is cheaper for you

Hmm yeah.. till I start making Turkish money
But that day is pretty far from here

May i ask what you pay for your course? I suppose it's comparable to one acadamic year, the length of the course?

But, what I know is, now my school payment has increased 11% in one day for me.
I hope this is temporary, wouldn't want another crises...

Oh because now you have to pay more Liras in order to get the right amount of Euros to pay for your course?

I have to pay to the course in Dollars, also such a weird thing. But last time, i paid the 150$ just in Euros, and once i'm there i'm gonan try if i can't just pay in Liras.

I don't understand anything of economics, so i don't actually understand whether this is good or bad for the Lira

But i heard on the radio that this year Türkiye's tourist industry is having -60% bookings, compared to last year This is because of the people's fear for terroristic attacks and because of birdflu.

6,000.00 Turkey New Lira = 3,916.45 United States Dollars

Hey, delikızın, am I wrong or is there really something with calculations today?
Isn't 1 dollar is around 1,45 ytl?

Then, 6000/1,45= 4138

It was me who told him that 6000 was 8700, but I had calculated it the other way as 1dollar is 1,45 ytl and then saw my mistake.

Well i'm afraid to say anything about calculations anymore Because you know i'm horrible with maths.

But i just put it through a currencey converter which also said that:

1 TRY = 0.661639 USD 1 USD = 1.51140 TRY

So almost 1.45 yes.. but i think that those 6 cnts on an amount of 6000 make a difference? I dunnow ?

Neyi anlamadin? Evet 6000 ytl gelinlik satin alacagim ve diger masraflar icin.

I was told 6000 ytl is approx. $8450 us dollars ???

No.. the amount in Dollars is always lower than the amount in Liras.. so 6000 ytl can never be 8450 dollars.

6,000.00 Turkey New Lira = 3,916.45 United States Dollars

come fast back, I want to flirt whit you, I want you

yapalım (not yapalim!) is first person plural - so perhaps "I want us to flirt" would be a closer translation but I am not sure!

Doesn't it mean 'let's do' ??

So more like.. Let's flirt with each other (free trnaslation to english, because no one would say 'let's do flirting with you' in English i suppose).

In English you also say:
How IS everyone, and not
How ARE everyone, right?

And i've never seen 'nasıllar' yet.. i think it is one of those things in which the -lar- falls away.

Yes - of course!!!

I should learn not to try and write Türkçe when I am still asleep and have not had coffee yet - it is so early

Saat onu yirmi beş geçiyor!

Wakey wakey

I'm gonna get my Greek yoghurt with Honey (the package says Greek Yoghurt, but us Turkey lovers know better )
