Thank you for all the responses. I didn't know so many people also really have lived there. When i saw the pictures in the magazines, i must say i indeed was shocked a little. It's hard for me to understand he comes from such a place. His childhood has been SO extremely different from mine. But i like to learn about it And about all the places as well
Quoting SuiGeneris:
does Kadir's father works in army or police station? |
No he doesn't I think he is a civil engineer. Why do you ask?
Quoting yabanci09: Its very nice to see that somebody has actually awknowledged a place in Turkey that isnt a holiday resort! As for Bismil, I cant believe someone has heard of the place! |
Hehe yeah well i just think that learning the country and his inhabitants is part of learning the language. Plus, if i want to live in Turkey, i think i should have the knowledge of the country itself a bit too.
Does someone maybe have the recipe for 'Bismil pot'? It is from the oven, with baked tomatoes, peppers, garlic and above this lamb-kebap, with over that red peppers.
Quoting SuiGeneris: and at least the nonsense Kurt-Turk thing... |
Wow This really made me smile. We are all people, aren't we. Some of them should just learn to become human
Quoting SuiGeneris: hasankeyf is supposed to be underwater now becoz of that dam discussion i am not sure if they are still discussing or they did it..

Quoting yabanci09: Ive heard alot of people say they have a love/hate relationship with the city, in my opinion the contradictiveness of the city is its main appeal. |
Yeah, in my mainpost i mentioned this contradictiveness too. I think that's why i am attracted to it so much too.
