I tried to find the thread about singular and plural speech, but i could not find it. Could someone please put a link here of the thread?

About Hayir and Yok.. i guess yok can also mean 'no' in informal speech, because sometimes instead of 'no'/'hayir' i heard Turks answer 'yok yok'. But i guess the explanation of a Turkish person/teacher would enlighten more

In USA people are allowed to get their drivers licence younger tho.. we can start theory at 17 and driving at 18.. in America u can start driving at 16.. maybe that's just too young, eventho US landscape is less close than ours.

Im not surprised by the Greek numbers tho, they are speeddevils as well.. and im sure ouzo gets many men drunk as well

Serefsiz means rude (seref = honour, -siz=without)

The sentence means:

What does 'serefsiz' mean in Dutch?

(the dutch word is onbeleefd, brutaal, respectloos )

Ok i just checked the Dutch statistics..

In Holland died 881 persons in trafficaccidents in 2004. In 2003 and this number was 1088.. so let's say 985 persons per year.

985 over 16.5 million inhabitants.

Someone who knows the population of Turkey and who is good at maths good clear this up for us n compare?

Yes.. i never like when my boyfriend tells me he's going to see his parents in Ankara..i dont know if i prefer him to go by bus or by his own car?! At least i always try to convince him not to drive in the dark if he drives himself..and i prefer when he goes with friends.

Do you think that Turkey will change this system SERIOUSLY to get into the EU?

Ohhh ok I understand.. yes, it does mean something like that.. i guess the person who said that tried to say:
I can't beleive you said that! (als in.. dat was ook weer niet nodig om te zeggen, of.. dat je dat durfde te zeggen!)

In Turkish:

Demek istediğim bu hollandaca değil, lehçe olabilir. eğer öyleyse "bunu sen söyledin" diyor sanırım. ( bunu şaşırmış yada komikmiş gibi söyleyebildiğine de inanamıyorum) emin değilim..

Credits go to my good friend Süleyman tho whose unviersity is cancelled for two days because of Snowy Istanbul

Het is belangrijk dat je het nu zegt:
Bunu şimdi söylemen önemli

Ik wil dat je het nu zegt :
Bunu şimdi söylemeni istiyorum

Hoe kom je aan dat zinsdeel? (How did you get to that part of sentence?)
