cynicmystic :
Your post is the best I have read here lately!!!!!
Thank you, turkish learners like me are very grateful for your help and great explanations. Actually, nobody had ever told me what you wrote about -KI and yes, it is a real HEADACHE for learners! When I use it I do like this :

"Eminim ki beni hatirliyorsun"

But when I see it like that:

"Ama sen hiç gelmedin ki"!!!!

I dont know how to translate , I just DONT KNOW!!!!
I hope you can help me with my doubts.
Please, go on contributing to this site!!!!
Çok tesekkurler,
Dilara.

Thread: foreign women wake up!!!

My opinion on this subject is :

-Not all foreign women are naive (or should I say silly?)
-Not all women believe anything they read - example :
Stupid text messages like " Seni seviyorum , sensiz yasayamam " , "herseyimsin " when the person has met you one or two weeks ago ( extra point if it was on holidays or a bar)...
As the tittle of this thread says : Please WAKE UP! Do you think that someone can fall in love with you in 1 week?... do you think that if a man has serious intentions with you, would dare to declare his love in a couple of days??

Also :
I have never meet a turkish man in person but from what I have seen in nearly 3 years, they are (GENERALLY SPEAKING )
Very nice, hospitable, funny, sense of humor , some pay complimnets very quickly and yes , they can be very charming , some are very good-looking I have to say , manly accent ? yes ....this can be a dangerous combination for a "Naive" foreigner because what they think they love might not be the person but the EXCITEMENT of a new culture, exotic accent and as someone say, maybe she needs to feel somewhat "special" and men know what kind of words women want to hear ...and they know how to take advantage of that ... that's why I have seen - since I became a member in may, 2005 - the same messages and the same complaints over and over again :

"My boyfriend cheated on me" " I thought that he loved me" but the truth is that :

HOW BUT HOW can you say you love someone you CAN NOT EVEN UNDERSTAND???!!! If you cannot understand eachother...HOW CAN YOU LOVE EACHOTHER if love is sharing feelings, experiences, points of view together!!!!!!!!! if all you talk about needs a translation done by a 3rd person...what kind of communication do you have??????? this relationships are doomed to failure from the very beginning!!... LOVE and LUST are not the same and when I read most of the messages it is clear it is not love ....then women complaint they were used, cheated , left ...but why couldnt they see all of this??? ...

Of course, not all turkish men are desperate for a visa or want your money but I am tired of hearing bad comments about turkish men , so many people tell you to stay away or be careful with them , I think for a few bad ones, a big part of turkish males have been stereotyped in a big part of the world which is not fair...

Please , if some of the above written made you feel identified...WAKE UP! but do not think that all turkish men are the same!!
Just my humble point of view...sorry but some of the things I have read here really made my sick...I wouldnt call a 18-20-30 year old woman "Naive" ...

Thank you so much MarioninTurkey!
I appreciate your help very much because It helps me to understand how to use the verbs. I am doing this because I do not have turkish dictionary (neither Turkish / English nor Spanish Turkish ) and I do not trust online dictionaries 100% .
Now I am creating a "Debatase" that's why I am asking this, maybe not a "Scientific" method but the one that works for me
Çok tesekkurler,
Dilara.
