Quoting doudi94

thx leamus but i dont really understand the examples ,why did we put it?? for what reason the endings??

doudi94, unless a noun is the subject of a sentence, there´s 99% chances it will take some ending.

In this case, I think the verb "sevmek" requires an accusative ending (-i).

sen (you) --> seni        : seni seviyorum.
Ankara  --> Ankara´yı   : Ankara´yı seviyorum.

süt (milk) --> sütü        : sütü seviyorum.

Just a beginner´s question :

Characters in this lovely letter {#lang_emotions_rolleyes} are not the modern form I learn or read in newspaper.

For instance ´ı´ and ´i´ seem to lead to a unique ´ý´ which would make pronounciation

more difficult.

I have read that Turkey started to use the Latin characters in 1923 but haven´t read about two phases. Could someone tell me when this alphabet was in use or when were the current one introduced in Turkish language ?

excellent piece. Behind every language and every single word, there are sometimes centuries of history.

tekrar biraz yardıma ihtiyacım var. Anlamlı anladım, ama cümlenin ´exact order´ emin değilim.

Türkiye’de bence şu anki gidişat, bizim performansımızın iyi olduğunun göstergesi.

According to me, the (economic) situation at the moment in Turkey is an indicator of our good performance.

If I may have a try. I think some bits are missing or should be attached as follows:

sen kimle konuşuyorsun : who are you talking to ?
sen benimle neden konuşmuyorsun : why don´t you talk to me
ben çok kızarım sana : I´m really mad at you
neden benimle konuşmuyorsun sen : why don´t you talk to me

Thanks a lot Gordios,

That really clarifies things. I wasn´t too far but your help is precious. Here are my suggestions on the English. Mostly there are the way the sentence is split and ordered. This is something more complex than plain vocabulary issues :

...........................................

1/Çocuk tiyatrosunda oyunculuk yapan Ali ve Can aynı evde yaşayan ve geçim sıkıntısı çeken iki kankadır.
>> Ali and Can, who work in a children´s theatre, are two blood brothers who live in the same house and have financial problems.

2/En büyük hayalleri iyi birer oyuncu olup sinema filmlerinde yer almaktır. >> Their biggest dream is becoming good actors and getting roles in movies.
> I would translate ´almak´ as to get

3/Ama piyasada tek tanıdıkları kişi casting işleri yapan menajerleri Ceyda´dır.
>> But the only person they knew in this market was casting manager Ceyda.
> 100%

4/Ali ve Can günün birinde davetli olmadıkları bir film tanıtım partisine giderler.
>> One day, Ali and Can attend a movie gala to which they were not invited.

...........................................

In sentence 3, ´casting işleri yapan menajerleri´, why is ´menajer´ in the plural form in the original version ?

Rbanford,

Can´t solve your live class issue (İ have the same problem myself) but for a formal learning structure I can only highly recommend the 16-lesson Teach Yourself Turkish (with the CD) you can find or order from Waterstones and other bookshops.

Next, for listening practice, Turkey´s national TV has live programmes over the Interet : www.trt.com.tr.
