Sayıların Yazılışı

1. Sayılar metin içerisinde yazıyla yazılır: bin yıldan beri, dört kardeş, haftanın beşinci günü, üç ayda bir, yüz soru, iki hafta sonra, üçüncü sınıf.

Yaş otuz beş, yolun yarısı eder.

(Cahit Sıtkı Tarancı

Buna karşılık saat, para tutarı, ölçü, istatistik verilere ilişkin sayılarda rakam kullanılır: 17.30'da, 11.00’de, 1.500.000 lira, 25 kilogram, 150 kilometre, 15 metre kumaş, 1.250.000 kişi, % 25, % 50.

Saat ve dakikalar metin içinde yazıyla da yazılabilir: saat dokuzu beş geçe, saat yediye çeyrek kala, saat sekizi on dakika üç saniye geçe, mesela saat onda.

2. Birden fazla kelimeden oluşan sayılar ayrı yazılır: iki yüz, üç yüz altmış beş.

3. Para ile ilgili işlem ve senet, çek vb. ticarî belgelerde geçen sayılar bitişik yazılır: 650,35 (altıyüzelliYTL,otuzbeşYKr).

4. Notayı niteleyen sayılar ayrı yazılır: on altılık.

5. Oyun adlarını niteleyen sayılar bitişik yazılır: altmışaltı.

6. Romen rakamları ancak yüzyıllarda, hükümdar adlarında, tarihlerde ayların yazılışında, kitap ve dergi ciltlerinde ve kitapların asıl bölümlerinden önceki sayfaların numaralandırılmasında kullanılabilir: XX. yüzyıl, III. Selim, XIV. Louis, II. Wilhelm, V. Karl, VIII. Edward, 1.XI.1928, I. Cilt, XII. Cilt.

10. Üleştirme sayıları rakamla değil yazıyla belirtilir: 2'şer değil ikişer, 9'ar değil dokuzar, 100’er değil yüzer.

... in other words, a psycho that was good in chess. Stuff happens.

I know, you did not like what he said about 9/11 catwoman.

I wont agree with what he said as a whole but I would agree with the bits:
"The US and Israel have been slaughtering the Palestinians, just slaughtering them, for years. Robbing them and slaughtering them. Nobody gave a shit"

Quoting si++:

The world chess champion 1969-1972 passed away in Iceland yesterday.

He was half-Jewish yet he hated Jews. He made a lot of statements about Jews which I will not dare to quote here but they can all be found here

What an amazing character. I read the article about his dead this morning in the guardian:
article
Death of a madman driven sane by chess

"what made him a great player also made him impossible human being"

About 9/11:
"This is all wonderful news," he announced live on Filipino radio. "I applaud the act. The US and Israel have been slaughtering the Palestinians, just slaughtering them, for years. Robbing them and slaughtering them. Nobody gave a shit. Now it's coming back to the US. Fuck the US. I want to see the US wiped out. Death to the US."

"chess and world title meant so much for him that he could not bear the prospect of losing'

"in 1975, against Karpov, he demanded open ended match in which the winner would have won 10 games with draws not counting, a match potentially could take months or even years"

Could it be Erdem who filed a complaint against youtube..?

I don think so.
If he was involved, there would NOT be a notification on the screen.
Notifying or explaining 'why it is banned' is not his style.

Did we all not talk about this couple of months ago?
(This site desperately needs a proper internal search engine!!hmmmm..Lucene is highly recommended dear web master)
Anyway..
What they are advicing you above Summer is very conventional. Turks wont like that!
They will think you are one of the foreign girls.
So it is better to be a bit unusual:
-You wear a tiny mini skirt for a start..
-Make sure you have a bottle of beer or wine in your hand when you arrive..
-Ask for an ashtray in first couple of minutes of arrival for your cigarette.
-you dont need to take your shoes off in the house..(very conventional, every foreign girl does that.)..
-Make sure you pay compliment to father in law and (if there are any) to your bf's brothers..Tell them how gergous looking they are..Dont be shy..
-in the middle of conversation, get up and sit on your bf's lap..show how much you love him.

- Just make sure, end of the night they should think 'you are not a conventional girl, you are unique'..

ok?

How much Le pen (National Front) represents France and French people?
How much BPN can represent England and British?
What about Ku klux klan? are they the voice of usa and americans?
Well, we feel the same for our home grown racists in Turkey..

I have to tell this joke before I bury myself into work and forget:
As you know Resident Engineers work for consultant firms (in construction projects anyway). And consultants by definition are there to be consulted. They wont do the job but tell you you how it is to be done.
Anyway her comes the joke (we used to tell this when consultants were around )
A very experienced and aged cockerel walks along the field and wants to jump to the other side of the barb wired fence. But when jumping, his willy gets caught to the wire and snaps.
Of course, he starts to cry.
And a young cockerel comes along.. Looks at what happened and says 'dont worry, you can be a consultant now'

No offense to anybody btw!!
