Because I dont want ny AK Parti member to be president...
Their agenda is not in line with the constitution and they will try to change it.

you contradict yourself. you say you like Gul but you dont want him to be president just becasue he is member of AK party.. then can you tell me why you like him..becasue he looks like George Clooney?

and current constitution was made just after 1980 coup by the generals and their dear gentlemen of the robe. so it has to change anyway if we want to be a member of EU.

well i am very glad that he is fired.. keithl..dont talk as if he was just innocent columnist. i am not sure if you know him well..dont you find it democratic? did you know that he was one of the biggest supporter of coups in Turkey? he is one of those god damned men who hide behind ataturk and talk everything they want or they believe on behalf of Ataturk. Be sure Turkey didnt lose anything. he was not criticizing Tayyip Erdogan.. he was insulting him..he used to insult everybody is religious.. he used to insult girls who cant study at universities just becasue they wear headscarf..and he is not the only columnist who talks about his son. why others still are not fired then? i think you had better search about him before talking like an excited Russian revolutionary from 1910's .

NO CRAP HERE PLEASE. IF YOU KNOW OF ANY LIES HE WROTE IN HIS COLUMN, LET US KNOW TOO......AT LEAST HE WAS MAN ENOUGH TO SIGN HIS OWN NAME, UNDER WHAT HE WROTE.

stop shouting man. i am clever enough to understand lowercases but apparently you are not clever enough to talk your opinion instead of calling others' opinions "crap". i pity you

Turkey, a democratic country, and the Turkish people chose the best. Personally I encourage Erdogan
All Arab world were happy when he succeeded in elections,

Turkey, a democratic country

Seems some people only like democracy when their own choice wins! People are really scare-mongering about Erdogan and hiding behind old, long outdated policies to try and influence opinion. However, the fact is that 47% of Turkish voted for him
