Quoting ciko:

phew secular mltm ..you are making me laugh..poor you..still call yourself secular are you saying nearly 50 % of people vote AKP for only bread? this means " turks are so stupid that they can not see what is good for them..but we secular white turks can think about everything instead of them."

You have already made me laugh my ciko.

I will not go on with this useless debate with you.

If we make a profil of an average turks, I'm sure we will not have very promising results and we can go hours listing the reasons why people voted for AKP, and ofcourse among them there's the cause of religion as well.

And I do not like the white turk thing. My skin is white but I'm a normal Turk. I'm just a normal person who uses her brain, not trying to think for all people. I worry for the future of my country, which is my right, since this is also my country! Or does 47% vote mean that they can do whatever they want? Now, they censor everything, they have 80% of the media, and now we cannot even have the right to worry for the secularism of our counrty just because we are not among the 47%??

theres a difference between england and turkey. the difference is in history, culture and mentality.
therefore you cant compare the systems of both.
if im a, lets say, european way democrat and will allow headscarves in a good belief, the next thing will be the sharia laws they want. you should know where and how to use the thing called democracy.

Why do we agree with eachother today?

This "they are too uneducated to really know what they want, we are doing this for their own good" attitude reminds me of something.....

....wait...it will come to me soon ...

I think you think wrongly. Nobody is doing something for somebodys benefit. Here we talk about the turkish people who own the country. The aware turkish people who fear to lose the secularism and democracy. Imperialism is totally another thing but also it's one of the hundreds of reasons why AKP is not wanted because AKP is working with the imperialists.

But you don't need to worry much aenoş since you live happly in UK with headscarved muslims wandering around if one day Turkey ever becomes the Islamic Republic of Turkey. And me too, I have french passport, I do not have to return there.
